All AJ is trying to say to the thick skulls reading/listening to his commentary... Is that he treats every opponent with the same damn mentality.

Yes at the end that is what he alludes to, but the beginning is pretty clear he dies not look at TN in the same vein as many Bama fans do. Not a big deal, but please don't make it out like people are misreading this.

Whew. Now I don't have to wonder if people on this board think that I am actually AJ.

Also, dude is a player on the team so his "next game" approach is appropriate. Also, he is a LA boy....if he was from north of B'ham he would feel differently.

The only falling he will be doing on 9 Nov. is when he is taking the mercy knee on your pathetic defense..

A.J. is trying too hard to sound like Saban. Sometimes I wish he would act like a college player and not an NFL guy. This is a huge game for UA and UT and he should respect that. Hell, show a little emotion. Why sound so joyless? He could act pumped about this game, just for the fans sake.

Huh? He does his talking where it matters. On the field.. Lay off the guy. I'd rather him say nothing than spout off like players from the other schools do and then proceed to get their shite pushed in..

No doubt. I guess as a fan I want our players to sometimes be as excited about playing a big rival like Tennessee. Alabama football is just a joyless football machine. Our boys just kick every arse it faces and rolls on to the next arse kicking. And I'm okay with that too.

You know what he's gonna do for the fan's sake? Beat the Hell out of UT! Then he'll smoke a cigar, and go bang whoever he wants. That will be for the fans, too.

I agree, AJ is doing his best "coach speak". UT and AU are the two biggest games of the year. For some, like me, it's all about TSIO and for others it's the Iron Bowl. AJ knows this but isn't going to bounce of the walls in anticipation, not his style. BTW, frick you Tenner!!!

Next year the Vols will be abfd.
This year it is the next game.
Not too hard to understand unless you take every chance you get to cut Bama down.

What does it matter? Are you trying to get your kicks out of AJs level excitement about a football game? Weird.

No it doesn't matter. I just thought college football was about these kind of games. I didn't say I wanted AJ to talk a bunch of shite and act like a jackass. He has been around the program for 5 years. He should know this is a big game for the fans. He could have just mentioned that the team knows this game is a little more important to the fans than the others. I guess I'm freaking weird.

Nevermind guys. I don't give a damn what he says. I just hope he throws 6 TD's and no INT's and completes at least 90% of his passes. A'ight? I get it. College football is now a business, just like the pros. I don't think teams even need rivals anymore. What's the freaking point?

Would you rather have a bunch of rah-rah shite, like under Mike Dubose? Or just treat every game the same and win? How about "beat everyone" and leave the rivalry stuff to fans?

That was last year. This year you suck. MAYBE he'll give somebody a high five after taking a knee to beat LSU this year.
