Probably where it was stepped on in the last scrimmage. Probably just extra precaution.

Did you see him getting off the plane after the national title game? Dude was the walking wounded, from the Mississippi State injury. Not as bad as Barret Jones. Guy came off the field last year after games in crutches. Some fighters.

People wear walking boots for a number of reasons, and it’s possible the Crimson Tide quarterback tweaked it in practice this week and the team isn’t taking any chances. While it would be a bit of karma for McCarron to miss the game due to injury after about 100 Hokie players were swallowed up by injuries like the softball players in the “Homer At The Bat” episode of The Simpsons, it’s unlikely. Nothing has been said publicly about an injury to the ‘Bama QB. Maybe McCarron is just trying to start a new fashion trend, and he’s looking to be the face of the Walking Boot Generation.

i wish one coach would just have EVERY PLAYER on the bus wear one walking boot when they get off the bus
