I'm with Higgs - A.J., take your shot. You deserve a shot based on your college performance alone. In the NFL - pay your dues, practice hard, get prepared, step in, lead and earn it when called upon. Absolutely no one can disparage A.J. for what he has done and where he is. Tattoos? Yes, disparage away. But, and this sucks to say it, he has earned his chance and he deserves his shot. It is up to him and his leadership IMO. Good luck with that. The better story is what is Johnny Football going to do across the state. Leadership? Would you take A.J. or JMFF? if it were your call (personally, I'd take Cam, but that it is just me and haters wouldn't understand).

AJ could start over Cam but that's about it

Anyways. I love the post about hes a proven winner. Not in the NFL he isn't . Every qb is a proven winner if you count college. The only thing hes proven is that if he plays on a team that has considerably more talent then the teams hes playing against (which is not going to happen in the NFL), has the best defense in the country and a great running game and offensive line.....

Then yes he can win

I'm not saying he is better than the greats, but he is def better than maybe 10 other NFL starters right now.

I guarantee you if AJ leads the Bengals to a win in the Wild Card round, and then Dalton is good to go for the Divisional Round, the Bengals will go with Dalton.

Thank you for the guarantee, Coach Lewis. You might want to reference back to the post where I said:

If Dalton isn't back in time for the first round of playoffs and AJ leads them to a victory (something Dalton hasn't done in playoffs) then this could change. Otherwise, it is unlikely to change.

His failed drug test, poor character, and shitty professionalism is probably why he was drafted after McCarron.

Let's see...

Maybe the Dolphins, certainly the Texans, not Baltimore if Flacco is back, Blaine has been playing well in SF, certainly in STL, not in Dallas if Romo is healthy....

Really St. Louis, Houston, and the Dolphins would be it imo

I could see him being similar to Alex Smith. Game manager, who doesn't turn the ball over, always seems to keep his team in the game. Never will be elite just like AJ.

The Steelers mauled him, and the 49ers are a glorified practice squad. He hasn't proven anything yet. Denver this weekend will be interesting to watch.

AJ is first bama qb to win a game as a starter in the NFL since 1987.

Every talking head on ESPN, across the board, Dan Patrick as well, said that playing the 49'ers is no real test of any QB's abilities. As in, it's just one game.

Be being a bama fan has nothing to do with it, I know Aj personally. And Iv said from day 1 he will be an NFL starter. Your an LSU fan, what do you know about NFL qbs? Or hell, even college qbs lolol

I'm thinking the following:
Browns, Eagles, Rams, Texans, Dolphins, Bills, and 49ers. So probably 7 teams that he's a better option than the current QB.
