One thing that scouts may not like about McCarron is that he has a long release. He is very accurate and has a pretty strong arm but the release on his throws take longer to develop and the motion of his throw will leave him susceptible to fumbles in the pocket. Just my opinion.
This is exactly why he WON'T BE A FIRST ROUNDER. in the NFL one of the most important aspect of completing a pass is , the time it takes the ball to reach the wr ,from the start of your delivery until it gets to the wr. When your delivery is long AND you don't have elite arm strength , it gives CB too much time to react.
I think if AJ has time to work with a good qb coach and gets time to adjust to the speed diff , he can e a successful starter. If he has to start from day one, he will have trouble.
No way will he go first round.

What QB is good without a playmakers and good offensive line?

Uh Bham Dore said he would be a first rounder and start from say one. DWI.
AJ is a great CFB qb and got a lot better from last year and he will progress more next year, but he would not be a NFL starter right now.
Also, you calling someone dumb is laughable.

Next year you will see Bama with its whole cast of play makers at the skill position.
Hard to get them the ball if the oline can't protect. That is like the first rule of football man.

He will probably throw 35 td next year.
Bookmarked.

Peyton doesn't have nearly the same zip he had earlier in his career. He was still effective this year.
Of course not. But he still can make every throw. His arm is still above avg.

McCarron has one of the quickest releases in all of college football. What are you guys watching.
He does wind up some on his deep balls, but again its more of a mechanics issue and compensating for bad knee after the MSU game.

I dont think that AJ's delivery is long at all...

One of the only negatives I can see with his mechanics is that he drops the ball down low when he brings the ball back to throw. His release also takes a little long to develop. Other than that, hes been good enough to win us 2 NCs and his arm strength, decision making and accuracy are NFL caliber, imo.
The only other thing I would add is his deep ball. It's good in CFB , not the NFL. If he could shorten his delivery an not drop the ball below his shoulder during his throwing motion( which would definitely shorten his delivery) and work on his deep ball, he would be a definite first rounder and a really good NFL qb.
He definitely has the accuracy and decision making and has an above avg arm.

Its not his release is the quickest in the SEC outside of Bray.

AJ McCarron is 22, which means he is more or less done growing. Males stop growing around this time.
you dont get your full natural adult muscle mass until about 25. i was 165 lbs at 22, i was 195 at 25 without working out intensively, and the gain was not fat. im a slightly soft 205 now at 32.

Yeah I do AJ is a well known film room junky. You don't seem to know AJ at all. Kid is all business when it comes to football. He has a douche bag reputation, but when it comes to football kid takes that shite serious.
You said ,"even if AJ didn't have a good oline , he would still be good".
You don't know this at all. Not one bit.

AJ will be better at the next level than people think. He just posted a season with a TEN to ONE TD:INT ratio. That is crazy, it's an SEC record, and I'm almost willing to bet it's a national record.
He's got the height, he's well coached, accurate, nice (not elite) arm that can make all of the throws, beautiful deep ball (would've had two deep completions against ND had Cooper actually made a damn effort), sells PA better than anyone, proven winner, doesn't make bad decisions despite having a gunslinger mentality.

He said he would have a "shot" at being a starter, as in he would be able to compete for it. Learn to read, mongoloid.

Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert were 1st Rd picks. There are no sure fire can't miss Qb's next year. AJ will go high enough that a team will start him early.
How long he remains the starter depends on his surroundings.

AJ was sacked 23 times this season, and hurried a shite ton of times. We had a great OL, but don't act like he constantly had all day.
And he's gonna put up BETTER numbers next year with a worse OL.

I can certainly see him being an NFL starter one day, but kinda like a Joe Flacco. I think he would be very successful on a team that relies on defense and a running game (Baltimore, Seattle type). I don't see him putting up crazy Brees/Rodgers numbers, but he'll be a good game manager.

Bruh, you're the one that said he would be good WITHOUT a good cast. I didn't say he would be bad, just that you don't know thy he would be good.
As I've said , AJ is a great deep ball and a shorter delivery away from being a first rounder. Damn.
