1. Would LSU have beaten Oklahoma State in the 2011 BCSCG?
We would have fricking smoked them.

Georgia would have won.

Last year I think Georgia would have beat LSU in the SECCG. So no.

But 2011 was indeed a travesty.
There was no way LSU COULD win that game, it's basic psychology.
When KARMA straightens it out down the road, I'll feel better.

LSU was clearly the 2nd best in 2011, though.

I still think we were the best team in 2011. Alabama played a near perfect game on 1/9. They didn't make a single mistake and yet the game was still within reach down the stretch.

Play that game 10 times, and Bama plays it mistake-free MAYBE twice.

Anyways, obviously it was a heck of a performance by them.

I'd rather get responses from people with BCS experience...people that actually understand and have seen first-hand in this century what it takes to make and win a BCS game.

Why, are you an LSU football player or coach? Is anybody on here a player or coach of a BCS experienced team?

Nobody?

Yep. You walked into that one.

No, Georgia would have beaten LSU by 10 points.

Clempson.

Last year's UGA team was pretty solid man, IDK.

Don't think so. I don't think we had the guns to stand up to Georgia last year, and I'm not convinced we could keep up with Oklahoma State in 2011, with the uninspired way we played.

LSU couldn't even beat Clemson in the chicken bowl. 2011 is a better argument imho.

You're discounting Georgia too much last year. I think they beat you and then beat ND.

You get 1 of 2.

Perhaps, but I think LSU's defense would have gotten up for that game. Also, Mettenberger would have had good reason to play well too.

Georgia's rushing defense was ranked #77. I seriously doubt Georgia would shut down Jeremy Hill; he'd get a long run for a touchdown or two. Also, LSU's secondary would probably come away with at least one interception. It'd be closer than you think, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Miles win. Miles > Richt.
