They’ve over spent and their donors have closed the pocket books

Because not very many Texas fans post on this board compared to A&M fans. Never said Texas fans don't pretend otherwise. Not taking a side either. I absolutely agree both sides care, and their dishonest statements about the matter are petty and dumb.

This is not true. The land is being leased from The University and all profits go to the private underwriters.
After 10 years, the profit-sharing portion for UT Austin increases and The University will fully own the arena.
Aggy Gov. Rick Perry was responsible for a similar plan to build toll roads. Is the State of Texas broke?
