But I thought Daniel said that he and all his aggy student buddies never even thought about TEXAS?
I thought aggy was in love with the gumps, barn, swamp kitties and Mississippi culture?
Aggy state legislation filed to force the game to resume three times now, too.

In less than a month, students at Texas A&M University will get the chance to voice their thoughts on reinstating the historic rivalry football game against the University of Texas.
The Texas A&M Student Senate voted unanimously Wednesday night to support the inclusion of a question on the next campus-wide opinion poll on Feb. 21. The question would very directly ask, "Do you support reinstating the Texas A&M University vs. University of Texas rivalry game on our nonconference football schedule?"
Executive Director of Operations for the Student Senate Connor Hull, a junior at A&M, presented the resolution with fellow student Chipper Adams, who was one of the people encouraging Hull to propose the resolution.
"I just think that it was a sign from both the Senate and the student body that we would be open to looking at this game being brought back," Hull said about the unanimous vote.

Indeed, it is meaningless. Aggy Student Senate voted against having a student fee levied to help pay off Kyle Field debt, but aggy honchos did it anyway.

Let's say half the student body participates in this opinion poll, so 30-35k people. If 65+% say they want the series to resume, will you then concede that A&M students still care about the rivalry? That's at least been one of the narratives, that none of the younger Aggie fans/students care about playing Texas anymore. We all know it isn't true, but I'm just curious what your response to verifiable data will be.

There's your first flawed assumption. If we're going to throw out bullshite statistics, let's realistically say that over 85% of the A&M Student Body has no idea that the Student Senate even exists nor do they give a shite.

It wasn't an assumption. I asked if that many people actually participated in the poll would it mean anything to him. Meaning, I am acknowledging that a reasonable sample size would be necessary for a poll like that to be reliable at all. Had I not included that, he would have responded with something along the lines of "who cares, barely anyone will vote in that poll anyways, so it doesn't mean anything." So, naturally, I put a qualifier that if a fair percentage of the students vote and a good majority vote they want to reinstate the rivalry, would he concede people do, in fact, care. If a fair amount don't vote at all and/or there isn't a majority that want the game, then obviously I wouldn't be seeking a concession. HTH

You're going to have to show me the part of the OP that says it is a resolution. What he said is it kind of refutes the narrative that A&M students don't care about Texas at all. Why was it even up for a vote whether to poll the student body if no one cares? This was a unilateral move by the A&m student government, yet this is supposed to make Texas look bad?
