Slocom is a class act, not trying to be anyone he isn’t. Might have my issues with aggies but nothing but respect for that man.

They are young. He's only interim so it won't matter though.

That’s a ridiculous statement. There’s very little, if any, downside to having RC Slocum serve as an interim AD.

He actually started coaching as an assistant in 1972. Then became defensive coordinator, before becoming head coach. I believe he is still the winningest coach A&M has ever had. A great guy and class act.

Slocum has worked for the university ever since he quit coaching in one capacity or another. He was serving as the Special Assistant to the President before being named Interim AD. I am sure he will go back to that role once a permanent AD is hired.
