A 1 Loss Bama will make the playoffs even if they don’t win the West and play in SECCG. 1 Loss LSU/AUB/MSU would not be a shoe in to get in if they don’t win the West. History proves this on a couple of occasions.
It definitely is an advantage for BAMA but their past performance has allowed them to earn benefit of the doubt.

Sure but it’s not like we got the nod over some no-name program. It was between us and Ohio State, who got in under the same circumstances the year before. People act like we got in over Central Florida.

I've been following college ball for half a century and this Alabama team is the only unbeatable team that I've ever seen. No other team will come within 21 points of the 2018 Crimson Tide. It's over.
And I'm going to keep on serving the rat poison until Saban and all the Bama players gag to death.

Meh. People said the same thing about USC's 2005 team. Someone will give them a game.
