This will all be over in 2014 when the playoffs start and there are no more bowl restrictions because honestly both LSU and A&M deserve a BCS berth if both teams win out.

This. Can't wait.

But I will again warn LSU fans that if it does come down to us and them, they may be in for a disappointment this year. TAMU has consistently gotten better bowl games than what it deserves its entire history as a program.....it's by far the biggest reason they have such a sheety bowl record (it wasn't great even before their 10 year drought). I'm telling you, in the B12 people hated us for it...it's not a newly developed thing.

You are forgetting the biggest thing, and this is the money. I don't know how well Texas A&M travel, but looking at the away section at the bama game, it looked pretty empty.

However, if yall do jump lsu and go to a bcs game, the only likely reason is because yall beat bama. Did the impossible.

Have the Aggies ever made a BCS bowl?

I would say you have a great chance. SEC Champ game loser goes to Cap one bowl and the way UF offense is playing we will probably lose to FSU. That would mean TAMU-LSU coin flip. LSU may have the head to head advantage, but I bet Aggie would travel their arse off for a BCS bowl.

Aggies fans....sorry not happening if it's b/w us and you for a BCS bowl. Excitement for our program is at an all time high, just ask the 11 million viewers that watched us play last wknd. We travel extremely well and in the end you lost to us as well. Really, don't get your hopes up unless we lose.... Just wasting your time really

Yeah well they aren't picking between you and okie state or texas tech either. LSU is a national program with a rabid fanbase that will travel cross country if need be.

There are 6 SEC teams in the top 9 of the BCS. They need to fill 10 spots. It's not even conceivable the SEC doesn't get 2.

Why? That's the tie-in. Unless 2 of the 3 undefeated loses of course.

The Bama-A&M game (6.6) was the 2nd highest rated college game this year behind Bama-LSU (7.0). And it wasn't in prime time

And spare me the we always got big bowls in the Big 12....you're not in the Big 12 anymore boys....we have the last 6 national championships in this league...plenty of attractive teams to choose from unlike the Big 12

it was 98 and it was the first year of BCS. The Sugar always had an SEC school in it up til that year.

it wasn't just in the big 12, it was in the old SWC. it has been this way for 40 years.....since bowls were a thing.

but he's right. Big 12 or SWC, we were always the most attractive option. The SEC has a ton of attractive options every year. Bowls aren't going to reach for us....we're just another brand here. And that's okay. LSU fans may underrate our appeal to bowls but you are overrating it.

I don't underrate it at all. Up and coming program from the state of texas with a win over alabama is very attractive. Just saying that it's not quite as attractive as an established national program with multiple national titles in the last decade who also won the SEC and played in the BCSCG just a year ago and has one of the best traveling fan bases in the sport.
