Aggies did Petrino have full control of your offense?

Or did Jimbo meddle

I have seen where they said he didn’t yet their offense increased tremendously.

I think Bobby ran his own offense the last few games when Jimbo left. That’s a good look at what you should expect. The Henderson games. He said in an interview he called some of Lamar’s old plays for Henderson. I’d imagine he would call a similar playbook he called at Louisville for KJ.

We were on our 3rd string QB. You guys expect the 3rd strings to be as good as starters is crazy to me.

Jimbo meddled. Petrino got to do his thing in the last couple games though. Better offense than Jimbo for sure, but still nothing special by 2023 standards.

Why didn't he use that at Texas A&M from the beginning? Might have won 10 games or so.

Bc Henderson’s skill set is being a Dual Treat QB. Bobby called plays based on his QB’s abilities. We can run Henderson like 20 times a game no problem. Probably wouldn’t do that with the other QBs on the roster.

Also, Henderson was Petrino's QB. Petrino plucked him out of the portal, and had to convince Jimbo to do so. Jimbo was all in on Weigman and on Max Johnson as a lone backup.
The last 2 games of this season were the only 2 where Petrino got do Petrino's thing, with Petrino's QB.

Malik Hornsby would have been an elite Bobby QB. You can tell Bobby wants true DT QBs.

Why wasn't Petrino not being retain?

Bc Bobby’s heart is in Fayetteville. Why? You guys nervous at Mizzou? Lol

Idk know the situation but its best to clear house so there is no meddling from previous staff.

Yes. Just mentioned this on our board but he was already moving that way at Arkansas. Brandon Mitchell was supposed to be the heir apparent under Petrino and not Brandon Allen. Mitchell was a dual threat guy that we eventually moved to TE after Petrino got fired. He looked like a beast at QB though in our last spring game with Petrino and Bobby openly spoke about wanting to get the QB running game involved which you saw soon after at Louisville.

We needed a new OL coach.

Because even with his own QB in the game, and no meddling from Jimbo, his offense is nothing special by 2023 standards.

I wish Arkansas fans would have met Bobby on the tarmac like Lebby.

Hornsby is not a good qb no matter who coaches him. A great athlete though.

Hard to do that when the man obviously rolled in to town on a Harley.

Henderson doesn’t have breaking speed. He got brought down from behind on some foot tackles he could have broke. KJ is tough to bring down so I think he’s going to do great. But if you guys had a true DT QB on the roster with 4.5 speed, man, that’s dangerous.
