This is correct. But the Chicken Little A&M fans are scared that if they win a National Title with this class, people will put an asterisk by it because the used NIL to get the players. That's why they are so ball burstingly insistent on trying to create this narrative that it wasn't NIL that got this done.

What A&M would’ve done without NIL is irrelevant because the NIL era is here.
Exactly. Aggies, be happy. How you got here is irrelevant.

it’s fair to acknowledge NIL boosted this class.
LOL, good luck with that.

It’s a great point.
One that other programs can’t make (correct me if I’m wrong).
Bielema may’ve had that prowess; but Kelly may now be the sole priest in that regard.

Off topic here but how in the heck did A&M drop to #34 in 2011 after being Big 12 South co-champs and a Cotton Bowl appearance? I guess Sherman got lazy and took naps instead.

I have no doubt that it boosted this class, but we were already recruiting top 10. This just gave us an extra edge.
I suspect that every school attempted to take advantage of the NIL, but could not do so on the scale that A&M has, which is a HUGE advantage we have over just about every other school and that will not change anytime soon.

his is gonna sting, and I'm not trying to be an a-hole here. But from an outsider's perspective, Texas A&M does not offer in one single way, a better package to a recruit than the University of Texas does.
Outsiders can have that perspective. And if they do they are simply uniformed. An outsider’s inability/refusal to understand the landscape doesn’t influence anything. If it did, A&M wouldn’t have outrecruited Texas more often than not in recent years.

Agreed . . . you realize how much people just ignorantly accept what they read in the Sporting News without any sort of critical thinking or investigation. All that crap is served up by lazy beat writers that crank out puff pieces without ever talking to anyone.
They have zero idea about how the high school ranks work here or how Texas has been a dysfunctional running joke for a decade now with multiple coaching staffs being hired and fired and producing losing seasons.
But these know-nothings will learn soon.

Here's another little wrinkle that will be an advantage for quite a while.
Which Colleges produce the most Fortune 100 CEOs?
Which Colleges produce the most Fortune 100 CEOs?
quote:
While no individual school can lay claim to launching the careers of these CEOs, Boston College and Texas A&M University tie with the University of Pennsylvania in producing four CEOs in charge of top 100 companies on the Fortune 500 list, the most of any other colleges. Graduates of Boston College head up CVS Health, American International Group Inc., Abbott and The TJX Companies Inc.; Texas A&M alumni lead Exxon Mobil Corp., Cigna, Phillips 66 and Humana; and University of Pennsylvania grads helm Comcast, Oracle, Travelers and Tesla Inc.

All I’m seeing is A&M fans responding to this ridiculously weak narrative being pushed by jealous rivals.
If rival fans want to outrecruit A&M in this new environment, they should spend less time whining on the internet, and more time trying to grow and improve their universities, so that they produce more high earning alumni who want to give back. If they can’t do that, too bad. Be better or STFU.
Deal with it.

May I ask you an honest question?
From where does your Texas A&M hatred originate?
Genuinely curious.

He was stationed at Lackland and assumed he needed to become a sip fan. Got involved with shaggy and became a hyper sensitive t-shirt. He covers his allegiance by pretending he is a Gator.

So, he is Randolph Duke IRL?

You can scream all you want about those mean ole Aggies (in vain) but you will not found anywhere close to the percentage of “t-shirt” fans from A&M as almost any other large school. I would bet almost every Aggie poster here is an Aggie. Almost

That isn't exactly the vibe you guys give off.
I think perhaps a more accurate description would be "persistent ol' Aggies".

Remember when A&M joined the SEC and the sips put up some outlandish billboard in Florida masquerading as trash talking A&M boosters?
Probably not a coincidence…

50% of these kids are overrated and won't pan out. It takes many years of good recruiting classes to build a program. The best examples are Bama, Georgia, OSU, and Clemson.
A&M has only 3-4 competitive games next year Arkansas in Dallas, MSU away and maybe Miami. The season rides on Bama game Away! I's a very easy schedule that Jimbo will screw up and lose at least 2 games.

Yea that's why their alumni association isn't an alumni association, its a "former students." Then look at their historical graduation rates...

"They have a bunch of top notch, raw talent. They used the NIL well. Now the challenge is to forge that talent into a winning team. Not nearly as easy as many believe it will be."
You forgot, "and to keep the talent on the roster for the next couple years and avoid attrition via the transfer portal" It's going to happen in this new football era.
