The sad thing is, anyone who has been an Aggie fan for any appreciable amount of time could have written the script before the season started. It is, unfortunately, the epitome of Aggie athletics. It is what we do.

Maybe State will end their misery tonight

Please do. The most Aggie result would be win the SECT, go 0-2 in regionals and retain Earley for another year.

You had a great story going there. I was enthralled. It ended too soon.

Do us all a favor GamerAg and take your self loathing bullshite somewhere else. You are an embarasment to yourself and your University. Man up, grow some balls or just go away. Do you see other fans of schools on hear moaning in self pity because there athletic team isn't doing well? Are you looking for a pity party? Just STFU.

It's honestly crazy. I still think the hiring of Earley was the right call to make, at the time though.

But then you hire a young gun back and retain your roster so you're up again.
When will schools learn that promoting from within to salvage a single recruiting year/roster hardly works out in the long run?

Blame your AD for hiring a bum for coach when he could have had a sitting head coach from somewhere

You couldn't even write a script for a movie this well based on how the Aggy season turned out.

I can see why Aggie didn't want Texas over here.
This treatment is brutal.

LOL someone's mad. Not self-loathing at all, just honest about the reality of Aggie athletics after watching for 40+ years. It is what it is. I have long since come to terms with what it means to be a fan of Aggie sports. If calling a spade a spade bothers you, you might be the one who needs some self introspection.

I understand them still being salty about him. I still think it distracted him in the CWS final last year. The self-defeating attitude A&M fans can have needs to stop. They let the coach leaving make them panic to hire inexperience just to keep players instead of hiring a proven coach. Friend of players hires are usually problematic. They remind me of LSU fans in the 90s when we hired Archer due to players, Hallman for reasons unknown, and then Dinardo because he was cheap. We always had potential, but the politics and dealing with donors with hires along with fans starting to expect crap to fall apart every season or at best every other season made fans start to believe that was always going to be LSU football.
It is interesting how Texas fans post a ton about A&M while claiming A&M fans are the ones that are obsessed with them. Texas also lost the game after they beat A&M in football with Georgia using a backup QB for entire 2nd half to come back from being behind after 1st half, and in baseball they lost the following 2 SEC weekend series after beating A&M including getting swept the very next weekend. It seems like their own obsession causes them to put so much of a focus on beating A&M that it causes them to lapse a little bit afterwards.

Does it? Or did we just play much better teams after playing A&M? Hmm...

I think it was a chance worth taking. Earley wasn't really expensive, what did they really lose?

And you hire a slapdick AD

Hey. I thought Texas was obsessed with Aggy?
No one is obsessed with you or your boy cheerleaders, we're just laughing at you. Nothing new about that.
