After this weekend I feel like our chances of beating Bama have increased 10 fold.
It went from 1/1 million to 1/100k.

After watching one game, LSU looks better than Bama. It's only one game though. I can't believe what Bama's offense looked like. I'm still in shock. This offense was supposed to set records.

Good chance that this will prove out.

nope. Never take much stock into 1st game performances.

LSU took a different approach that is all
You are right about the opponents being very similar, VT had some talent on O and a horrible QB
TCU had 2 guys at QB that were both kind of wide-eyed with the large stage and struggled as well, had TCU had an experienced QB like say when they had Andy Dalton, they win that game
On O LSU saw a loaded box and made the D respect he passing game by using a more complex passing scheme, Bama was hard headed and vanilla on O, a couple drives there weren't any pass attempts and much of the same go routes on the pass plays...it was as vanilla as it could get.
If Nuss had decided to open up the PB (and admittedly without Christion Jones 2 TDs putting Bama in that position) it would've been much of the same outcome
Bama has better Special Teams and might have a better D, had we played y'all the 1st week though it still would've been a slobber knocker

I understand one game but Bama couldn't run the ball or pass the ball against a team that isn't talented. Va tech doesn't have a bunch of NFL talent.

Right.
As far as Bama goes , I thought they would have trouble in pass pro just because it takes time to all get on the same page. I thought for sure they would be able to run the ball though. What did they avg per carry? 2

It was a relatively close (10 pt) game and that's why I said a more talented experienced QB would've made a difference
TTs I know they had some experience but they still looked a bit timid at times

It might be but take the flow of the game into account (D was stifling and 2 Special teams TD's) and it would make sense to pack it up and I also believe the staff felt this game was about experience for the most part and I think the team was sleepwalking through much of the game

I think some SEC teams will give them a bigger push than some expect like Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc...

Saban's gone after this year, tDecline is among us.

Dude, if they take that offensive line into sec play they are a 9-3 or at best a 10-2 team. You can laugh all you want but it isnt going to change things. You can stop all of the NC talk right now.

Just week 1 and u guys have a bye to get the Offense straightened out. 35-10 at Va Tech is solid. If u cant run the ball after the bye then I will be a little more confident, but I dont think that will happen. In fact, I think u guys kick the shite out of the Ag's in 2 weeks.
