Let me explain Cajun. You take any game he's played poorly in this season and he would have to look as bad or worse in this game. It's English. I don't speak ghetto French. My apologies.

The way I see it going is either Auburn wins big or Gators win a close low scoring affair. With that said I am not sure about the Auburn kickers. Are they any good, Florida kickers are great.

Nix looked good against Miss St, but Auburn caught some breaks
What breaks did Auburn catch in that game? Being screwed on a fumble review? Fumbling 4 or 5 times? Holding the best RB on the field to 50 yds? Please, elaborate.

Carlson is 5/6, only missing one 40+. 100% on extra points. He’s solid.

You put that purple and yeller on there with "LSU fan" by it, I'll call you a closet Cajun. Sorry bub. I don't play the silly games some of you play. You wear it, own it.

He's not as good as his brother. And pretty shaky from 40 out.

I have seen Auburn lose under Gus when he gets into a rut and refuses to change. I've seen Florida win games when they somehow suck on both offense and defense but still manage to win by two scores.
I can very easily see a lot of outcomes for this game (if I was a betting man I'd avoid this like the plague) but given that it is at Florida I think the Gators have better odds to win than folks think. I've seen way too many Florida seasons where they look horrible every game yet somehow manage to win 10.

I just don't see where UF has any advantage whatsoever
Florida probably has an advantage in getting pressure with 4. It is known AU needs improvement there. AU's D-line is mostly known for run stopping. When AU gets sacks, it's almost always with a blitz.
But the reason I think AU wins is Florida's rush offense is not good, even though they've played no one of note. They're going to have even more trouble running it on AU. And if a team can't run the ball, they lose 90% of the time. I don't care what team it is or what game it is.
So I see a game where AU just tees off on Trask. Lots of blitzing and man coverage. I think AU's attitude will be "if you can't run, then beat us in the air." Trask is not a mobile guy at all, he will be in for trouble if he thinks he is going to win with his arm alone. So the key will be Perine and the O-line. What can they do.
Florida will probably try and just do a lot of quick, short throws and get their run game going on the outside. We'll see how it goes.
The key for AU is simple: don't turn the ball over. If they do that, they got it, imo.
If I were Florida, I would be taking a hard look at the Oregon film. AU could have easily lost that game.

Amazing what a week makes when it comes to how Auburn is viewed by tRant board posters.
If Auburn wins decisively on Saturday, how big can the Auburn hype get?

Big enough for us to fall on our face in BR in 3 weeks.

Auburn has to score TDs in the red zone. We have the best red zone d in the nation. We let teams drive in between the 20s quite a lot but we've been monsters once inside the 20. Hopefully Gus goes back to sucking in the red zone this game

Fair enough, man that's a lot of attempts much less misses from 50 plus. Became apparent pretty quick he wasn't that accurate from out there. Wonder why you weren't punting or going for it more on fourth down from that range.

You predicted UK over UF too, and you also said UF would struggle with Tennessee.

I just don't see the blowout win for AU everybody is talking about. Auburn's offense isn't that good. Both teams have great defenses. I see an Auburn win but something like 21-13.

The other QB is a true freshman that has already beaten two ranked teams away from home and is coming off a game where he accounted for nearly 400 yards of total offense and 3 TD's, which by far surpasses anything the other QB has done in his 2+ years in college.
quote:
Overall, his yards above replacement (YAR) is 0.75, indicating a very good QB. But that is skewed by a near perfect performance against Mississippi State (YAR = 7.64!). He had a YAR of 1.82 against Kent State but was significantly below average against Oregon (-0.85), Tulane (-1.47) and Texas A&M (-1.47).

Coming off his best performance against a helpless Miss State team. Auburn scored 21 points in its first 8 plays with turnovers, special teams, and run game.
Not saying Nix isn't going to be good, but lets see how he does when a team doesn't self-destruct like Miss State did early.
