Good lord, some of our fans are exhausting. We haven’t beaten Bama in the last 8 tries, and while I’m optimistic about LSU’s offense, they are a tough game every year.

You know as well as I do why Fournette wasn’t successful in that game. It’s got very little to do with this year.
That said, I hope the damn team isn’t acting like the fans, already thinking about Bama.
The truth is we were on top, with either Florida or UGA, until Saban got to Bama. We hung close for a few years but then got knocked off. But for some reason our coaching staff didn’t get the memo and still approached the game as if we had equal talent. And now the loss streak is in our heads.
That said, I hope the damn team isn’t acting like the fans, already thinking about Bama.

Exactly. And yet here we are in week #2 and LSU fans are already telling Bama fans that Burrow is going to ride rough shod on that Bama D. I would be more concerned over that defense giving up 38 to a Texas team, that if truth be told, we don't actually know how good it is. A lot of football to be played before Nov. 9. Let's enjoy these other games while we can.
