You guys realize that if a DB has a lot of stats, it's usually because he gets thrown at a lot, right? I mean, I'm sure you know that.

Because what category would he be in? He's NOT deserving at the DB spot. His overall play including special teams is great, but you have to add it all up.

Tell me why Menzie is, pray tell.

Claiborne has alot of stats and continues to shut people down. Argument = invalid.

Yeah Menzie being on there is a joke, but there is no way TM deserves to be an All-American corner either. He's a hell of a football player, but a lock down corner he is not. The only way he should make All-American is as a punt returner.

Oh, okay. So DB with worse stats is better?

Well, then with that logic, Menzie is better. I see now.

I haven't said anything about menzie. All I've said is that TM isn't an elite DB.

Wut?

Are you kidding? Not elite as a DB? Have you seen what he's done covering, tackling, blitzing, causing turnovers, scoring on turnovers?

Are you being serious?

That is why it says "DB". He is the pure definiton of a DB because he plays every position, and does it extremely well.

Fantastic Five: Alabama’s five selections (Barrett Jones, OL; Trent Richardson, RB; Dont’a Hightower, LB; Mark Barron, DB; DeQuan Menzie, DB) in 2011 are the second most players from one school on the AFCA FBS Coaches’ All-America Team.

Courtney Upshaw should have been on that list.

So Cam shouldn't have made all-american because he wasn't the best pocket passer, right? he should have only made it as the utility/athlete.

Twice as many. How many causes fumbles does Mekenzie have?

And for the Bammer idiots, go rewatch the Bama game and watch the two sacks that Mathieu caused when he blitzed and got in McCarron's throwing lane or forced him to run up into the pocket and cower like a little girl. The last one took Bama out of field goal position in overtime.

It depends on what you call "worse stats." If there's a db that gets zero tackles and zero interceptions and zero passes defended because nobody dares throw his way an entire season, then I'd say yes.

Twice as many.

Mathieu is lined up in the slot during most games because that helps keep him near the LOS. It gets our best 5 CB's on the field, & lets us sub out a LB & stay strong against the run.

You have ZERO idea about what you're talking about here, & I've asked you already to talk to me more about why Menzie is deserving.

This kid has lined up at CB, Nickel, Dime, & Safety, & lead our team in tackles from ALL those positions.

He leads the #2 defense in America in tackles. You're making zero sense & backing it up with a display of a gross lack of knowledge about the player & how he's used in our scheme.

Seriously, you're failing right now. HARD.

Tackles, sacks, strips, and fumble recoveries for TD's happen because he gets thrown at alot?

You sure you understand football?
