My son is there. Every building is on lockdown.
He said that he's heard that there are 1 to 3 shooters, but he said that no one he's talked to heard any shots.
This is the 4 or 5th time in a week there were reports of a active shooter on university campuses.
UT Chattanooga, South Carolina, Villanova, and USC that I can remember.

I’m here at the ROTC building. Students come to our building and we have it locked.

We are hearing three active shooters but I have no idea if that’s true.

Damn near all these shooters were on crap for ADHD etc and the media tries to hide it. No reason to be giving that crap to so many people. The school was trying to force someone I knows kid to be on it and he told them to screw off. He is fine now without it.

where my son is, he's only a few hundred yards from the library, where they're saying the alert came from.
He probably would have heard them or someone else would have. No one he's talked to heard any shooting. If it were in the library, I can see where he would not have, but kids walking by didn't hear anything either.

The news feed above is interviewing students, and nothing has been confirmed yet by any witnesses.
Hopefully it's either a hoax or a misunderstanding of some sort.

Seems to be a whole lot of confusion and misinformation coming out of NWA.
Hopefully it's just another hoax, and no one is killed or injured. Social media can be a REAL pain in the butt with these types of events. I've got friends texting me that there are multiple shooters, others saying that they were near the library and did not hear any shots.

UPDATE from law enforcement:
Around 12:30 this afternoon they received multiple calls of gunshots from multiple locations (four or more reports).
They have no confirmed gunshots, and no injuries.
No arrests have been made.

Police are giving a briefing and saying no evidence found of a shooting at this time.

daughter, in her second year was at the library. She and a number of other people went into an office, locked the door and barricaded it.
I didn't have walking my daughter through hiding, barricading, arming herself with scissors, and telling her which corner to take shelter in on my list of things to do today.
I pray all students are safe up there.
