however because the major poll of the day did not declare Alabama champions Alabama does not claim that Title.

Major poll didn't name bama in 1941 either so why claim that one?

Try to keep up:

The titles in 25, 26, 30, 34, and 41 were all AWARDED by various selectors. Many of them were retroactive selections.

During the 80s, Alabama started ACKNOWLEDGING those titles that had been AWARDED decades before.

Alabama did not simply decide that they had won national championships in those years. In each case, a third party said that Bama was the best team in the nation. Whether you agree with those third parties or not, you need to accept that the titles weren't invented out of whole cloth.

Guess you missed that part. The I-A NC is not given by the NCAA.

The combined record of the Alabama teams that ESPN does not recognize was 49-0-1 with 3 Rose Bowl victories and 1 tie in the Rose Bowl. The 1941 team is very controversial because it was retroactively awarded based on having two losses, but an extremely strong strength of schedule, and great non conference victories.
The rest(8) of Alabama's national championships were awarded by the AP, Coaches, or BCS polls.
Those combined = 13. There are several others Alabama could claim. Including four the NCAA claims for Alabama.

So a news organization that has been around for only 30 years is the be all, end all authority for who won National Championships in the first 70 years of the last century? STFU.

The NCAA doesn't RECOGNIZES I-A NC's. The NCAA only recognizes NC's that are won by a playoff.

Hey moron. Try looking into instead of just parroting what others tell you. They were awarded by the different media outlets of the day, Pre-AP Poll. We didn't invent the titles decades later, we just started acknowledging the ones awarded to us back then.
