how would you feel if the entire SEC fanbase collectively agreed that your last NC was a joke and completely discredited you for it?

*edit*

not to mention some of us feel obligated to cure ignorance... zealously.

Kinda odd that the NCAA doesn't recognize I-A NCs, as you claim, yet they list them in their official record book. Why is that?

They were awarded by the different media outlets of the day, Pre-AP Poll. We didn't invent the titles decades later, we just started acknowledging the ones awarded to us back then.

Well Hell lets just all schools start claim NCs that they were awarded no matter what news source named the school NCs.

Well LSU now has 7 NCs they can claim. Bama can have how ever many, but you still are in 2nd place behind the MIGHTY PRINCETON..

hey man... don't take it out on us that your team has the most laughable NC in the BCS era with probably the worst coach to ever win one that the AP DOES recognize.

I don't begrudge Princeton their championships from back in the day whatsoever. I have an understanding of historical context. Of course, I also don't have massive penis envy of Princeton either, so that probably explains my reasonable approach.

Still counts as a NC, Besides who deserved it that year? Every team had two losses so please tell me who would m2pro award the NC to and I will start to recognize that team as the 2007 NC.

*sigh* you're really someone i'd love to strangle. i get the feeling like i might luck into it one day.

we fall for it because the bottom line is that YOUR ignorant dumbass lemming style fans all think they know some deep dark secret about Bama's "fake championships" where we have ours that are like "nope nope nope... we have 13... 13, that's what we have"....

all the while, you have some people that are intelligent enough to at least debate it. then it comes to a simple choice. whether those in the debate that aren't pro-Bama accepting that we did indeed earn the right to be called a national champion for the years we've chosen to acknowledge.

Go ahead, keep your inside joke as opposing fans... but deep down, you know you're living in as much ignorance as the rednecks around Tuscaloosa that also are too afraid to look up the records for yourselves and what they all mean.

I feel like I HAVE to challenge these retarded flame statements. In hopes that somewhere out there, some little Tiger fan who has never heard any better than what he gets from his envious brethren, will read what I post and look into it...

Its just a single drop of knowledge into a desert of ignorance, but enough drops can become a mighty flood.

A college football "national championship" in the highest level of collegiate play in the United States, currently the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), is a designation awarded annually by various third-party organizations to their selection(s) of the best college football team(s). Division I FBS (formerly Division I-A) football is the only NCAA sport in which a yearly champion is not determined by an NCAA sanctioned championship event.
Because the championship team is not determined by an NCAA championship or tournament event, it has often been unofficially referred to as a "mythical national championship". Since the NCAA, the sport's governing body, does not determine or declare a national champion in this field, determination of such has often engendered controversy.
