Here we are 12 years later and Aaron Murry is still crying like a bitch about it.

His slut of a mom probably is too.

That game forever changed the rivalry
That was the very day that it went from a gentleman's rivalry to F Auburn, I hope they die. Now, they are a bigger rival than Florida, in my opinion. I think they feel the same way about us, as evidenced by their Rant fans openly rooting for Bama when we play them.

I mean it legit was one late hate by Fairly that got called.
That got called. Replay shows multiple excessive and at least questionable shots Fairley took on Murray. What sent it over the edge was Fairley and Cam’s celebrating throughout the game with Trooper Taylor egging it on. Took Auburn from being a peer program/school in the eyes of Richt-era UGA fans to total trash.
Auburn kicked our arse in 2004 and broke our hearts the next year in 2005 and neither had the impact on the tenor of the rivalry that 2010 did.

Fairley should have been arrested for assault. What he was doing on the field was not football, it was criminal behavior. What a classless piece of crap

Ive never really seen murray cry about that game. It gets brought up by uga fans a lot because the intent on those hits was pretty lowdown.
That said, murray was calling a game in auburn and the auburn review board started showing those illegal hits to hype up the crowd. He did ask wtf?

Maybe he should’ve just blocked fairley

Maybe Georgia should have given Fairley a dose of his own medicine. It would have been worth any penalty that was called

AU is quite proud of their thuggish behavior.

This is true. I was at that game and you could just feel it shift.

It was the final straw. First the hosing into the UGA stands in 40 degree weather because we beat your butt, countless other classless incidents over the years and then Fairley showing everyone what a disgraceful piece of trash he was. Any feelings of fellowship or respect that our programs might have had vanished that day as far as Georgia was concerned. As my nephew says “ I wouldn’t waste my piss on them if their hair was on fire.”

Me personally, after the first hit, I would've subbed a 3rd stringer in there and had him hit fairley's knees from the side to break it. He never would've played another down of football again.

Why would Nick Fairley stop doing what he was doing?

The fact that we have gone 10-2 against Auburn since that Fairley shite is some sweet justice.
But the ripped out dreads are cool too.
