We heard the same with Milton. Let’s see how he does against a bad NC State team

I'm sure he's a good QB. But is Tennessee good? We'll see. I think they will be.

He is better than Milton but Milton was a known entity by the time he came to Tennessee. Nico is still a work in progress but he has the potential to be good. The problem for Tennessee is the secondary is still garbage and the oline is inconsistent. It’s going to be a 9-3 type season

Well, we've got the big uglies on both sides of the ball, with our DLine being elite and our Oline being pretty good by all accounts. Our run game looks to be good to great (its hard to say at this point).

Again our weak spot is probably our dbacks. So a team can beat us if they can expose our dbacks more often than N1cO can expose theirs.

I expect a lot of shootouts. That said, if the opposition doesnt have a great running game I don't think they'll have much of a chance against us. That will be key, as our LB's will be able to help out in pass defense if they don't have to constantly support the Dline..

No we didn't. We heard he had problems over throwing receivers on deep balls and lacking touch on short passes, and that he needed to address those if UT was to have a chance at taking the next step.

So no, we didn't 'hear the same' with Milton.

MURRAY: "The throws that he made, especially down the field, I thought the accuracy was tremendous".

No one EVER said that Milton had 'tremendous accuracy' on deep balls

I mean, we all saw what he did in the Bowl Game. He's a big upgrade from Milton.

True. But we didn't get to see him make a lot of different throws.

Ho hum....DEJA VU: Tenny has a great QB, Tenny has talent, Tenny is strong in the trenches...blah, blah, blah....and they look the part, against NW Rhode Island Tech. Then they inexplicably get beat by a bad Florida team....then Bama beats them....then they receive their annual prison-raping against UGA....then the excuses start. Then all the UT alters start vanishing from this board.

By season's end, about 3 Vol posters are left, they have 3 maybe 4 losses and the excuses start. But come next August, they are Lords of the CFB Universe again and Nico will definitely win the Heisman this season.

(Yawn)...some things will never change.

Gotta love it. Aaron Murray knows the ropes, and he's already a Nicophile. Good in depth analysis.

Make sure you eat your crow when it’s served. Nico is an elite QB. Doesn’t mean we will make the playoffs but he is phenomenal without a doubt
