You embarrass yourself

No. But you can go ahead and believe whatever the hell you want. I never said that Meyer was a saint. But I'll stand by this: gator nation defended Meyer in blogs and social media when the number of players who were getting reprimanded/arrested was adding up during his time in Gainesville. That's not just me saying it. That was well known. Then as soon as he had the heart condition or concocted the whole thing (I wasn't there so I can't say for sure) many in gator nation lambasted him for not having a plan B when Tebow and some other playmakers were gone. You never stopped to realize and enjoy the success you've had for four or five years while Meyer was in his prime.

To say you were obsessed over everything Meyer was the understatement of the millennium. Another idiotic point that many in gator nation made was about Meyer not having the same success at OSU as he did at Florida. You people can be pissed at Meyer for leaving how he did but you can't be that stupid to think he was just going to forget how to coach. I know it's hard to believe but there is life outside of Gainesville and there are good coaching trees in all corners of the map. Which brings me to my obsessed point you have about Meyer. Whatever shite went down with Hernandez at Florida was not on the same level as what he did up in the Northeast. He took his street and gang affiliations and escalated it once he got to the NFL. What I said makes sense. Sorry if you can't or won't see it. Meyer is not absolved in all of this but he's been a better person at Ohio State. So quit your bitching because you're spotting on your white dress.

I just read up on that documentary, Dear Zachary. That broad was a straight up lunatic. Shirley Turner. That poor little boy and the boy's father. As pissed as I am at the killer, I'm even more outraged at the idiots in Canada's justice department that allowed the atrocities to take place. As painful as it is to read stories like that, they are a great reminder of watching people closely around your loved ones, and don't let your guard down around certain individuals.

Well he didn't punish three players accused of rape and he pretty much still has the inner circle thing going on at osu, so better person...

Those guys never saw the field at OSU. Don't even know if they ever finished there. The girl never gave much testimony either way. I hope they didn't do it. If they did and got away with it, I hope the girl's family got payback in some way. Or maybe the streets cleaned up after itself. Either way, those players are no longer affiliated with Ohio state or Meyer.m

Perfect reply, no longer on the team, so it doesn't matter that it is status quo for Meyer.

Meyer fits in with osu perfectly. What he ireally is in the backend doesn't matter as long as they keep up the facade. Very tressell like. And so osu. Several of the big boosters and ex players know what's up but will never say a thing.

Seriously, with as few gator posters that are on the rant. He's a big reason why the gators come off as douchebags on the rant.

Imagine if the NCAA used testimony of "Secret Witnesses" that turned out to be the HC of your most hated rival (Saban) and a jock sniffer like Tom Culpepper to nail LSU and skullfrick them with penalties that set your program back at least a decade. You'd be pissed too.

Sure Bama was guilty of things and Dubose let the boosters get too involved in the program, but using Fulmer and Culpepper as "secret witnesses" was total bullshite and the punishment far outweighed the "crime".

To this day if UA never gets another recruit out of Memphis I won't lose sleep.

But that's all a thread for another time, like 20 years ago. Half the posters on here probably aren't even old enough to remember that bullshite.

I wasn't saying that like I don't get why Alabama still holds a grudge. Someone else said Ohio State would never hold a grudge against a coach because they are somehow above that because of the prestige of their program, that'd they'd ultimately be ok regardless. I was only saying no one is above holding a grudge, given the right circumstances. I only used Alabama as an example, given they are a more prestigious program than Ohio State.

You see this across the board. We can all name several players over the years on each team that coaches overlook because of their talent.

Will you do us a favor and start a thread on the OT about what you're talking about, sometime after New Years? Skimmed through the thread and have no idea what you or Prof are talking about, but it's interesting as hell.

Hernandez is an enigma... Interesting character... Kinda like a side job... Loose wires in need of a junction box... A baffle that needs cleaning...

Lol you're right, it has no place in sports, my bad. 95% of the people in the world will not know what we are talking about, nor will they care, 3% won't give a shite, but maybe 2% will be interested. This is not a knock on people here, if it's meant for you to hear it, take an interest in it, it will happen. +

I have thought about starting a thread on it, but it may be taken as religious, although it is far from it, will probably get whacked anyway. But since you asked, I will do that after the holidays, Peace to you and yours.

I know. It's cool. That just sets me off on a rant every time I think of it. And I was thinking the same thing when a fanbase wailing and gnashing teeth was mentioned.

Alabama was punished far and beyond what was precedent for similar infractions because they thumbed their nose at the NCAA years before that.
