Also I gotta say I feel bad for Sumlin, he's in a very difficult spot right now. Like he said a few weeks ago many people have sway on whether or not to suspend him and knowing the NCAA selective justice system odds are Johnny never misses a game and no harmful punishment comes at all down the road. Still just the hint of possible future problems have to weigh in Sumlins mind and I don't envy his position right now.

From what I've heard there is absolutely 0 negativity in the locker room as a result of this. there is no divide between pro-Johnny vs anti-Johnny. I think Sumlin is having a much easier time than you think.
He's taken away 0 first team reps for Manziel during fall camp, that should tell you all you need to know.

Is there divide between Clowney and non- Clowney? Of course not. They are the best players on the team and leaders on the field. Everyone plays better because of them.
Johnny is gonna be mad.

Also just fyi it's an often forgotten fact that Auburn suspended Cam for the Georgia game and then the next day the NCAA cleared him. I'll admit that's always been something that really pissed me off, Auburn was like okay you got us and the NCAA was like nah don't worry you're good.
I don't want a pissing match with Auburn fans okay congrats you were the best team in 2010 and you won on the field a natty.
I only bring it up because of the tin foil comment and so I'm saying that I have zero faith in the NCAA when it comes to punishment whether evidence is strong or not. The bottom line is the NCAA not Auburn (AU actually tried to do the right thing by suspending him) found a loophole to get Cam off and it may or may not have been closed.
I'm just saying the NCAA has no credibility and the Miami case is a prime example. IMO there is strong evidence that JF took money but the brokers are trying to help him and not cooperate with the NCAA, still I think they have enough if they want to take a stand but I think JF is too big a draw financially for them to suspend him.
I hope he plays every game and I have hoped that from the start. But I'm afraid if he gets off, someone in the future that may really need the money more may get punished and that's where the selective justice rubs me the wrong way.

I meant Sumlin risks NCAA punishment and sanctiins by playing him. Of course there is no divide in the locker room all his teammates know who the star is on that team.
But read my other post about NCAA selective punishment and it probably doesn't matter either way.

Oh please. The NCAA tried to strong arm Auburn into suspending Cam because they couldn't produce any evidence. Auburn got legal counsel and realized if they suspended him, it would make the NCAA frick off. Because the NCAA still has to have evidence. The NCAA committee immediately revoked the suspension instantaneously because there wasn't any.
Just because you think someone is guilty doesn't mean you get to sentence him without producing evidence. If there isn't evidence, you don't suspend. But the NCAA is run by a bunch of dipshits who tried to strongarm Auburn to do just that because they were at least smart enough to know they couldn't. I can't help it if it bothers you 3 years later but that's just not how the process works.

Sup Tbird!
I'm saying you guys shouldn't worry they won't suspend him because he's too financially viable to the profit machine that is the NCAA. Just sit back and relax and thank God for all of us football is only a few days away.

Actually, there's no evidence. That's kind of the point.

No point in [worrying]. The only thing I'd be concerned with is the chancellor's tone. He went pretty quickly to the ad hominem, attacking journalistic integrity, criminal records and deflecting without actually addressing the matter at hand... which is fine if you're a fan or are TexAgs.
I wouldn't personally be ready to throw him under the bus, but I'd definitely be scratching my head and wondering if this guy's supposed to be the chancellor of a major university or a TexAgs redass superfan.

Who knows, though. Maybe the TexAggy tail wags the aggy dog.
