Because he did. This just confirms A&M is confident he will get away with it.

Good Lord.

Hey dipshit Carolina and Louisville already went to bat for their players and said their investigations didn't turn anything up. If the case is so heavily in Johnny's favor A&M should do the same.

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

You're actually getting it easy.

You should have been here in 2010. At least Manziel signed some autographs. There's still absolutely nothing tangible linking Cam Newton or his father to a pay for play scheme.

I thought the NCAA is investigating. What does ESPN have to do with anything?

No it's just this idea that ESPN and Rovelle will not be happy until they ruin Manziel is beyond absurd and extremely old by now.

Just before this autograph news hit you had the Manziels shitting all over A&M and Sumlin in that article and they also were saying A&M was siding with the NCAA on some things.

Then this news breaks and they all huddle together and try to give a united front, how cute.

I'm just trying to tell you Aggies that the world isn't out to get you. And yes Auburn got it much worse because they've been in the SEC forever and there's a lot more genuine hate towards them from other SEC schools.

Absolutely

There is ZERO chance a statement like that is allowed out without a mighty fine knowledge of the situation. Otherwise the risk of it blowing up in your face is just too great.

:kige:

They're going all in.

They feel pretty confident about what they think the NCAA has. If they're wrong, though, and they play him... and the NCAA has some sort of ace up their sleeve, this sort of statement might invite something like failure to monitor or lack of institutional control.

Gutsy move, but "everything's bigger in Texas," right?

Danny Sheridan and Paul Finebaum still have the proof. They just still haven't been given the okay to release it.

As for Johnny, they will have something released the week of the Bama game to try to get A&M to think something really bad is fixing to come out so they will suspend him for the game.

In recent years ESPN has been a complete joke when it comes to investigative journalism. Really dirty and TMZ like. They have no integrity when it comes to that in my eyes.

Now, that said, nobody puts a better entertainment product out there. And that's what they're engaging in with JFF, plots and storylines for the coming season. They may have no shame when it comes to journalism, but by God they will make it interesting to the masses one way or the other. I mean, right now all we have is pictures of Johnny signing shite, correct?

It's a factor that programs are going to have to deal with going forward in this new partnership. ESPN will pay the bills and plenty more, and while you'll come out of the ringer with pockets full of money, you also might feel like you've just made a deal with the devil. ESPN will wring out all the entertainment value they can, the health and reputation of your program be damned.

ESPN? No

Rovell? Dude has already dug in and picked his side. His career can't take another hit like this.
