I just don't understand why the brokers told anyone about the signings if they were not going to tell the NCAA, and if they didn't have proof.
Why didn't they just keep their mouths shut and get their money and be done with it?
That has puzzled me from the start as well. The only logical choices I can see are 1) they're getting even for the eBay downtime, but have no solid proof, or 2) the tinfoil hat idea that they're trying to influence the betting line (and again, have no proof).

Just heard on sportscenter, broker/source has vanished, they're unable to reach him anymore. So much for their "sources".
For SEC Rant ears only: I found him and killed him after torturing him for more information, then chopped his body into small pieces and fed it to the fish off the coast of Galveston. You're welcome.

I swear what I'm reading sounds almost just like Auburn late 2010/early 2011.

Wow. I initially assumed this collection was accumulated over months. But after seeing the timestamps and checking: Nope! He's all in, for some screwed up reason. That is one weird guy.

Dude's going all in.
Like I said, at this point the best he can hope for is that this jut "goes away". His career can't take another public outing about false information he perpetuated.

Why would Rovell break thst info as 6 twitter posts? Doesn't he or ESPN realize that could be 6 different stories on the homepage?

I think if Manziel plays, no one is really going to think, "you know I guess this means he DID sign all those autographs for free", Rovell was just making stuff up!

Of course not, but like the last two or three times he's done this it could come out that some/all of his info was bad or patently false.
Not saying Manziel didn't do it, but past precedent says it isn't a stretch to say Rovell might have at least jumped the gun and at worst taken what someone said and stretched it far beyond their intention.

Be ready: Next rumor that is breaking is that the reason Sharp is so cavalier about his comments is one of the 'sources' signed an affdavit saying he made up the accusation, and was paid to do so by someone.
