Apparently said by the USC president this morning. Possibly opens the door for an Arkansas-Mizzou cross divisional

Holy crap, something that makes sense of a geographic standpoint.

Makes sense, the geography makes this the worst perennial game in the SEC other than MSU/Kentucky, and now it's gonna be even farther for the Cocks to travel.

The fact that the teams are cross-divisional is retarded though.

Damn first A&M takes away LSU vs Arkansas as the last game of the year, now they take away Arkansas' cross division rival.

A&M is basically telling Arky "move over bitch, I'm coming in"

If we gave a shite about the Carolina game you might have a point. I would rather have Mizzou every year if they're gonna stay in the East.

Does anybody really care who their cross divisional rival is outside of UT/Bama and Aub/UGA?

South Carolina is tapping out just like Alleva and LSU want to tap out of having Arkansas as the last game.

My thoughts as well. Funny how both teams are trying to trade Arkansas for A&M when Arkansas is far superior at the moment. Yet we all talk about schedule strength and make fun of everyone's OOC games at the same time. Hmmm

Not to rain on your parade but the reason people want to play A&M instead of Arkansas probably has to do more with recruiting than anything. Who wouldn't want a every other year game in Texas to be able to sell to recruits in the area?

Don't flatter yourself piggies, I doubt anyone is beating down the door to rid themself of the obligation to play the perennial SEC West #3 team

That is so overrated.

'Hey Texas kid, come to South Carolina because you will get to play at Kyle Field 1 or perhaps 2 times.'

Did you read the comments? Some mentioned recruiting, but some just don't want to have to play us anymore:

That cliche "you gotta beat the best to be the best" is a bit overrated. I would be fine not playing Arkansas so hopefully we can go undefeated.

We won't even be recruiting Texas no matter what our record between them is. I like Arkansas, bc it has been our opponent since we have been in the league. We do not have many rivals in the SEC since we entered together, I like our rivalry with them....now only if we can win some of them

Its not a rivalry.... we never win

we can't beat Arkansas so I had rather see a team from Texas come on our schedule. Imagine Spurrier
getting a couple of 5 stars from Mack Brown's home state! They have enough to go around.

perhaps, but you miss the impact of the more likely event in most years: beating A&M is better for us than losing to Arkansas. The easiest way for us to win championships is if we can run the slate; the easier the slate the more likely that that will happen. and if that does happen, then no one anywhere will care that we played A&M instead of Arkansas because running the slate in the SEC puts you at the top no matter the in-conference slate.
