The aggies are confident that being in the SEC will greatly increase their recruiting of top athletes so if they are correct, they will pretty much dominate the SEC from this point forward.

Yeah, no other team in the SEC recruits top athletes.

Semantics are at play here...

Confirmed: Aggies have sent grievance letter to Big 12.

A&M has not sent a C Ya letter. That is step 2 of the "legal" process.

Both of the biggest blog writers for A&M are lining up and confirming that it looks likely for an announcement before September 1st. I disagree with it. I'd rather announce after the season, but if true (and it certainly looks that way) A&M will be in the SEC in 2012.

SEC sources are confirming they have sent each SEC school instructions on terminating one non-con game for 2012-2013, and a nine game schedule has been drafted.

Take it FWIW. I'm not giving my opinion. Just passing along information.

Wmr:

I'm not sure, but it seems that would be the case.

Like I said, I'm not going to speculate on what is going on, other than what I've been told by my lawyer sources with A&M/SEC and my contacts at A&M.

i hope all this screws texas and the lhn over...that network is complete crap

How will that happen? Texas has a contract in place. Actually, being out of a conference allows LHN to do what it wants with no pressure.

I really don't get this. Texas has wanted out of the Big 12 for as long as the aggies have but everyone has been trapped. I salute the aggies for breaking the political bonds if true.

I have never agreed with Ball Gravy before but a business connection I have (a well-connected Baylor alum who my search firm placed) emailed me minutes ago saying that the Baylor Athletics department is freaking the frick out right now and it is because of A&M.

I am so excited that this might happen. The SEC rocks and IMO the SEC will only get better with the addition of Texas A&M.

7 teams in each division, playing 3 from the east (adding two teams).

I feel validated, because most old school Arkansas fans knew Texas would eventually big-foot their way into destroying the Big 12 conference, too.

There is no arrogance like U Texas arrogance.
