Steers vs Queers is my favorite, I'm going with that one.

shite, I hit submit before putting the Border War on there. My bad. Absolutely consider it one of the premiere rivalries in America even though I'm in the minority

Is there an official name for the UT tamu rivalry?
Lone Star Showdown (which actually refers to all sporting events between the two schools).

Coach Sumlin is crushing it on the recruiting trail.
One of the reasons given--repeatedly--by our recent top verbals outta Texas re: why they those A&M: Playing in the SEC. Interestingly, not one of them has said, "Because I caught your game on the Longhorn Network last weekend."

Anyone with a pulse already knows that.
Besides, as Jason Cook said, we're more than happy to face em in a bowl game.
Eta - good grief, I'm slow on the iPad.

It keeps Texas in a Baylor mind set. Its that simple. They are not going to call all the shots - then when they need to leach onto A&M's SEC exposure, change it again.
frick Texas. Have fun tailgaiting for Kansas.

And it speaks volumes that the 'horns expressed to Cotton Bowl officials that they did NOT want to play us last year if that matchup was a possibility.

Interesting. This will go through several cycles of "they said no" before the game resumes in 2020 or whenever.
OU was and will always be the more important game, but any Texas or aggie fan who says they don't care is full of shite.

I'd have to think this will be started up again in the somewhat near future, and can't think of a better place for it than Dallas.
Although, I'm not huge on neutral site games. College campuses are so awesome it's a shame to take away games from those venues.

You were just given multiple reasons on these past 2 alone

Curious. Am I a genius or is Steers vs Queers a german saying?
Trust that I like Tamu a bagillion times more than texas university.

I'm 100% certain the rivalry will be renewed in full. Hopefully much, much further down the road, though.

Speaking as someone who LOVES going to games at Cowboys Stadium, hell no. Campus to campus or GTFO. sips and Ags already have season games in Dallas, so that's no benefit to either.

I'm a campus guy too. I didn't realize they both played there already.. yeah that wouldn't make sense to add another game in Dallas.

Yeah, they have the Red River Shootout vs. OU, and we have the Southwest Classic against Arky.
