A&M moved way up after shutting down that New Mexico powerhouse..

NCAA hasn't updated their stats page since week 2.

Current rank is 77, which, while not good, is better than Arkansas pass offense, which is 86th (A&M pass defense is 1)

Fine. Arkansas has moved up to 6th and Aggies are 77th.

Where have I seen that number before?

Something even John L, Bert, and Chaggie never accomplished

Kent State rushed for 5.0 YPC on 45 carries.
Iowa held them to 1.9 YPC on 41 carries.

Colorado rushed for 4.5 YPC on 38 carries.
Minnesota held them to -19 rushing yards.

Maybe A&M fixes whatever problems they had in those 2 games, but it is a big question mark until they do imo.

Not that I think shutting down New Mexico means anything but on the same token waaaaay too much reading into Kent states numbers.

1st game and we were down 2 starters on the DL.

Defense is playing great and the offense isn’t doing anything. Also this is basically the same defensive team from last year that was top 3 in the sec. The assumption going in should be that would continue and nothing from the first 3 games has changed that in my opinion

New Mexico
3.3 YPC against Houston Baptist
3.9 YPC against New Mexico State
2.5 YPC against Texas A&M

Are y’all seriously not concerned about your rushing defense at all?

This isn’t fantasy football.

Rice scored 17 points on Arkansas in 3 quarters

A&M has given up 17 on the season

A&M is allowing 130% of an opponents rush yards. meaning ark will run for 7.9 yards per rush if that holds.

41-14 arkansas

You literally said two posts ago “don’t worry about Kent State numbers, it was Game 1” as you proceed to talk about our numbers from Game 1 lol

Yeah Idk if I would go that far.. but they have definitely had issues stopping the run. That’s usually bad news when a good rushing team pounds the rock..

I would favor the home team in this game.. since it is in Dallas, I think it could go either way and will likely come down to turnovers.

Yeah I think looking at total yards gained in game 1 is reaching. Points is what matters.

Arkansas gave up over 20 to Texas if that’s more palatable

Texas averages 39 PPG including that game, 48.5 not including that game.

That probably isn’t the best stat to use as a counterpoint.

Colorado scored 35 against Northern Colorado.
0 against Minnesota.
7 against A&M.

Not sure that would be a good one to use either.

Slightly concerned. We've only given up 77 ypg passing so far. Thus, I'm hoping the rushing defense deficiency has been an outnumbered-in-the-box situation due to strategy. But, I have no idea if that's the case or not.
