A&M is an example of why you don't want to play on Sunday in the conference tourney.

It clearly didn't help their seeding and they got no rest as a reward.

Only elite teams with depth should worry about the conference tournament.

Point made. Sure as hell didn’t help the seeding.

And then they played flat.

But Penn St stayed hot after their conf tourney.

The team that is running them out of the gym played Sunday in their conference final.

That's just dumb, they should just not try to win the conference title? They're 20 year old kids, they're not tired.

Exactly 1 team wins the National Championship each year. Winning conference trophies still means something.

I do wish they could find a way to have the conference tournament final on Saturday though. The Thursday NCAA opening round games do come quick after the Sunday final.

This is an excuse. Auburn played 4 games on their way to the tourney championship in 2019 and then made it to the final 4. For whatever reason buzz williams just folds against OOC competition and brings the conference down.

What doesn't help A&M is playing a game which looks for contact to get to the free throw line as your primary offense.

Everyone knew that would dry up in the tournament. It's why the struggle in their OOC schedule.

They don't get those same calls they rely on to beat SEC opponents

A&M is an example of why you should grow a pair and stop being afraid of big brother. So petrified of Texas that they shite all down their leg against a worse opponent

Dumb post. Dumb thread.

"Hey guys, thanks for all your hard work, but we're gonna lose this game on purpose so we can have a couple of extra days rest. You'll thank me later."

They had 3 days of rest. That’s all you need.

A&M is also an example of why you don’t bitch and moan for a month about respect while not understanding what goes into the seeding.

A&M could have won the SEC tourney and still managed only a 5 seed. Not that it matters after getting pantsed tonight, but frick the NCAA. They deserve to get called out.

3 things can be true at once:

1) A&M deserved a better seeding than 7

2) They absolutely shite down their leg

3) Penn State played lights out

Bonus thing:

The types of players buzz recruits and his culture will only get you so far. You can hustle your way to a bunch of regular season wins but eventually you need some higher level players to win big games. I feel like his teams have to play at 110% capacity to squeeze out a win vs. quality opponents. He is a likable guy and has teams that are easy to root for, but it’s just not sustainable.

They got 3 days to rest. So basically the amount of rest they got every week this season..... Or any season in college basketball...
