Vitello? That I have no personal knowledge about him other than knowing TN and their facilities and committment to him. Unless Texas gives him a $100M contract (exaggerated), just never going to happen.
I absolutley do think that CNC wants Vitello as his new #1 at this point, considering Schloss and Johnson have said "No". He would certainly be the splash hire that CDC so desperately needs to stay relevant. But I will eat crows if he is hired.
In fact, I will ban myself from SEC Rant if Texas is able to hire: Vitello. Best shot is Van Horn or Sullivan. That's it.

Understanding a little about Vitello and at least how he acts at times, I would not be shocked if he left. TN fans say that he is a TN guy all the way. There is ZERO chance Schloss leaves for that school as ZERO upside. Are you saying LSU will be better because you got some upgrades in assistants? I disagree because BK is the key problem. He did change assistants when he was the HC at Notre Dame. Same results and now on to LSU and he is turning out to have similar results so far. BK isn't winning a championship any time soon at LSU.

Yes similar results, first two years double digit season wins much like he did with the Irish. Maybe in the next year or two plays for another natty like he did at Notre Dame. If he does, he won’t be overmatched talent wise like he was before.

UT Baseball expectations for 2025? Easy, National Champions is the expectation like it is every year. Why would any team with UT's history and resources expect anything less? May or may not come to pass, but Schloss is a great coach and will have UT back in the CWS PDQ.
As everyone with a lick of baseball sense knows, once a team gets to the CWS anything can happen. Just get there first.

Great news for y’all but no one cares outside of College Station. I am a Tennessee fan and no one cares about our baseball NC outside of Knoxville. It’s just the reality of college baseball.
