STFU Bundy. My kids will go to the best school in the town/city we live in. If the private school is the better school, they will go there or vice-versa. Like I said earlier, I did both and I am not going to send my kids to a certain type of school based on my experiences bc times have changed.
These people with stereotypical notions about public/private schools trip me out. I got to see both sides of the fence and there are pros and cons with both school types.

Yea me too.
I went to Belhaven but damnit if it werent for private school I would have gotten plenty of SEC offers.

You do realize the biggest question coaches at OM and MSU had was whether I was as good as I seemed because I had played against inferior talent at AA private schools... so they both wanted me as an invited walk on.. so instead I took a juco scholarship.

I plan on saving a ton of money sending my kids to a good public school (Petal or Oak Grove) if I still am here in the Pinebelt.

Sounds selfish of you. The main reason to send them to a public school or private should be because it gives your kids the best chance to succeed in life, not to save you a buck. Grow up...

Yep. My parents have spent well over six figures on our education and I'm extremely grateful for it.

I'm going to send one son to CBHS, one to MUS, one to St. George's, and one to White Station and see which one turns out better.

Excellent idea. Send one to Melrose too

I've already got 3 kids in Melrose.
They are struggling. Probably due to their absent father.

I agree with this. I saw both with this migration path through school:
Indianola Academy
Pillow Academy
Carver High School (9th grade in Tupelo, no private schools there, and the public schools are great there)
Tupelo HS - great public school.
Vero Beach Sr. High School - 11th & 12th. Also, public and was a great school. Over 600 in my graduating class.

I honestly don't think I've ever been to Indianola before in my life.

Wow this thread blows. Most MSU v OM flame threads rock. I think we need a hog to start trolling or something.

The Lost Pizza Company and Pea Soup's is all that's there. Not worth visiting, trust me.
