My religion which I converted to strictly in this post string requires I use this screen name. Therefore the moniker stays.

Brando is no favorite of LSU fans. He's pretty much a self professed expert & no one locally respects or even likes him. As a person, for what it's worth: a St.Trooper buddy of mine stopped him for driving 90 in a 65 & the first thing he pulled was the "do you know who I am". He was ticketed with a few extra charges throw in. Ticket marked "Do not fix" in the way most troopers know how to do.

I'm a huge football and SEC fan - I'm on this board. But I can't understand how Alabama fans or any football fans really care that much about an opinion. Every sportscaster has picked Alabama and Ohio State. It would be more interesting to talk about why he picked Alabama #7. Who is going to beat them. Is one of their apparent 2 losses the SEC Championship? Personally I think if McCarron stays healthy no one is going to beat them.

Yes, Tim Brando smells like Louisiana State Fair corndogs.
That's a good one, I guess Alabama doesn't have a state fair??

If you actually listened to the show, his rankings are based on how he see's THE END of the seadon. He said that because the sec is so deep this year he doesnt see a team with less than 2 losses. The teams ranked higher were mainly because they have a schedule easier than Bama's.

Brando, like his schtick/personality or not, always has sound arguments and is always professional imho.
Perhaps he thinks its in his career's best interest to keep tossing in monkey wrenches toward Alabama. Maybe it gets him more listeners.
Nothing gets peoples eyes and ears like a little going against the grain.

Not to mention, you look like a genius if you are RIGHT and you pick against Alabama.
It's all about risk/reward in terms of knowing the landscape of your audience and what they'll think about you. The trick for someone in his position is to get enough "right" to take a jab and try to knock down a BIG one like picking against Bama.
