It would be worth a listen to hear them react to all of this. Those guys are homers of the worst variety.

BS - you didnt know it was a thing until these crybabies started ranting over it.

Well we know that a still shot photo isn’t going to prove it one way or the other.
Have to look at the video to see if he was moving normally to get lined up, or if he was acting like he was leaving the field.

The Oklahoma staff cleared the play legality before the game with the SEC officiating crew and again while the play was being ran, and received clearance both times.
They don't understand what the controversy is about and the SEC officiating office needs to get their shite together and publicly announce why they gave clearance if it was an illegal play.
Period.
then the officials who cleared the play didn't know the rule either.
let me help you
quote:
NCAA football rule 9-2, Article 2 is labeled ‘unfair tactics’ with Paragraph (B) stating, ‘No simulated replacements or substitutions may be used to confuse opponents. No tactic associated with substitutes or the substitution process may be used to confuse opponents. This includes any hideout tactic with or without a substitution.’
So your coaches asked the crew before the game if they could pretend to run a guy off the field for sub but have him stop short and then run down the field on a passing route after the snap. So your intent was to deceive Auburn into thinking a sub was happening that wasn't actually going to happen. That's literally the purpose of the rule. Whether or not that was actually discussed pregame is hearsay, but if it did the officials who cleared it were wrong.

Probably was something like …
“What if we line up a guy out wide, close to the sideline… is that ok?”

Of ALL the bad SEC officiating calls over the years, I am surprised/shocked that this one was the one the SEC issued a statement for.
SEC office must’ve been getting bombed by the Auburn influence in Birmingham.

I’ll make it easy for you. Just follow the rules as they’re written.

If they said their interpretation was that it would be against the rules, then we would not have run it. Second down.
Do you honestly expect that the worst officiating crew in the SEC who have been suspended multiple times for not knowing the rules to know the rules?

Don’t forget that they had a player intentionally trash talk Auburn players so that they didn’t realize that Sategna didn’t actually sub out.

They would have never released a statement against bama, or UGA. Ole miss ran the EXACT same play and nobody said a word about it.

it's one of those "you know it when you see it" and the entire football watching wirld (including even the cluless SEC ) saw it,
Then it is a shitty rule. If you can’t say what it is other than “you know it when you see it” then the refs can just see it differently and not be wrong.
What if there was no posted speed limit and cops could pull you over and write you a ticket when they thought you were going too fast? What if there was no three point line, and instead they called it a three pointer because “you know it when you see it”? What if they get rid of the goalposts. I mean, the officials know what a fieldgoal looks like. They will know whether it was good or not when they see it.
My point is that a rule that can not be quantified is a horrible rule.

Self own. OU beat Auburn and he is setting fans up for a loss.
Hasn’t played one atm but the other one sacked his QB 10 times. So does atm get more than 10?
Stupid statement.

So we should eliminate pass interference, roughing the passer, and various other penalties that are judgment calls.
