Guess what?

KFC = crappy corporate fast food
Kentucky Fried Chicken = real chicken dinner restaurant
When I was much younger CHS offspring lived across the street and he would pop over to the house and whip up dinner for us. His "11 herbs & spices" were in any old Southern kitchen as he used ours, and did not bring them.
I also know why JYB Jr got the company so cheap
If you want to know what Kentucky Fried Chicken used to taste like, I suggest a trip to the Dinner House in Shelbyville, KY. She passed in the late 90's and I have not been up there since several years before c19 but it was a constant stop back in the day when I was in the neighborhood. They made chicken like the Colonel used to and their mashed taters and gravy was yum yum!

Prominent old Catholic family owned the winery in the state. Pretty sure they were a supplier for the Catholic Churches in the state.

Probably going to have a lot of new "Catholics" going to Mass and sitting down the whole time just to try to meet Cal at first. Just don't let them see the wine. There may be a lawsuit..
He likes a fruity bouquet in his communion wine. Figure it out or he’s gone!
As a fellow eye-talian Catholic, was always impressed with his commitment, he puts most of us to shame.
Just wish he pursued X’s and O’s with the same passion as his salvation.

Mormons are some strange people. Good luck to Kentucky
Just my perspective...but the Church of LDS is very strange...but the Mormon people that I have known and worked with have been (for the most part) amazing people.

Went to a county fair in Utah. It was....very different.
Instead of bands of young kids causing chaos, fighting, shenanigans....
It was 15 and 16 year old looking couples pushing double strollers.
Whole place gave off a huge cult vibe.

I have been in the "off limits" part of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. I can confirm that "magic underwear" are quite real and their use in practice back in the 1960's or so.
That said, when Utah played in San Antonio they gave me a lift on the team bus to the game and put me up at the team hotel.
My 3 favorite college fans based on real interaction
State
Utah (not BYU, they ARE a cult)
Iowa State (Hawkeye fans are not near as nice)

Where is the Temple in the state?
Jenkins has a Buddhist temple
Jenkins has the first US operation for Mother Theresa
If it is in Jenkins, many of you may need to put Jenkins, KY on your bucket list.

I went to HS with a Mormon. They are really good people, and unbelievably devout. They are def a little weird and I understand the cult vibes, but damn that dude still wouldn’t drink a sip of Mountain Dew or sweet tea bc they consider it a mind altering drug. They walk the walk.

Mormon church in my small town went out of business, so to speak, a year ago. Sold the property and they are gone.
The mormans in my town up and left too after we kept preaching the gospel to their young recruits. They kept going back to their headquarters with great questions.

mormons are a crazy-arse cult.
they believe they will be become gods and rule their own planet and they get to heaven by memorizing secret handshakes and phrases that they will give through a veil at the gates of heaven.
they are polytheistic nuts.

If you spent any time in the state prior to Ronnie in the WH in 1980 you would understand what I am trying to tell you. If you are young or just trolling, I get it, but if you are not I am trying to give you the inside scoop and the actual history of the state. Both POTUS of the time were aware of the value of the state at the time of the WoNA. It was "occupied" by the Yankees because Abe was well aware of the value of the state to the North.
Cool, cool
Still not the Deep South.
