We did so with Tennessee in the Albert Means case because they worked with the NCAA to avoid their own infractions case but even most hard core Bama fans will admit we committed major violations without Tennessee's involvement. Other than that, I would say no. It was later proven that Auburn boosters bankrolled Gene Jelks during the Langham case but that case was mostly about how we bungled the eligibility of a player. Despite both Jelks and an Auburn booster going on the record that they were behind that case, Bama fans still acknowledge that 99% of the cases we were involved with did in fact involve legimate rules violations. For some reason, many Auburn fans simply can't bring themselves to admit that their school hasn't always followed all the rules. I don't get what their hang up with that is, but some seem ready to defend their school's pristine virtue at all costs no matter the evidence.
so let me rephrase this for you GT is a hypocrite, but try to mitigate it by saying but, but, but

Summer before the 2010 season, a caller from Cam's home town called into Finebaum and said Cam's family told him they were paid by AU to go there, they were driving new vehicles, etc. Finebaum blew it off because nobody knew much about Cam at the time. Turns out, the caller was right.

I heard the call when it happened. I just thought, "who would pay THAT guy?"

Kind of like his Dad got a "New Church"?
His Mom and Dad drove ten year old vehicles, and Cam drove a scooter, while he was at Auburn. That reek's of "getting paid".

Did you know his brother got a 750k contract in the NFL around this time as well. Auburn corroborated with an NFL team to sign a player of a recruit so he could buy the family things and renovate the church. We are that good. :DWI:

What did I say that was even remotely hypocritical? I just flat out admitted that Alabama cheated in the Albert Means and the Antonio Langham case.

YOU probably are gullible enough to believe Cama WASN'T paid.

It's always amazing to me when Auburn fans sling shite at Bama when the guy who they named their field after was run out of college football over a p4p scheme....then the guy who succeded him went on the record about how said p4p scheme worked....and just last year, 4 former players were on TV telling the world about how it is still going on.....

Bama didn't cheat in the Langham case.....Stallings and Ingram thought signing a frickin' napkin in a Bourbon Street bar was so ridiculous that they blew it off....then told the NCAA to EABOD when they asked about it. That is when the trouble started....not becuase of the stupid napkin contract.

Auburn has had it's fair share of shady acts no doubt. I think most of the AU hate towards stuff like this stems back to 2010. To me it sounds completely ridiculous that ANY school would pay an unproven QB 180k, even AU didn't know what they had til around the 4th game. The NCAA spent a year in our university, AU was clean but people were never gonna except that answer from the beginning.
Some people stay in full retard mode though. Hell I venture to derp land from time to time when I'm drunk posting

Well, the IRS AND the NCAA said he didn't. Anybody can question the NCAA's ability to do anything. I want to see you call the IRS and tell them they are clueless. They can find $20k if you try to hide it and they are looking for it. Do you honestly think the dollar amount reported could be hidden from the IRS? You can't be that dumb.

NCAA disagrees. If he did get paid, $180k is just ridiculous and very unrealistic. We know yall like to use CAM got paid as an insult to our season. I'm sure there are several bama players that have gotten paid.

I don't. The fact that I was honest about many Alabama fans whining about Tennessee people being mixed up in the Means case and Auburn boosters being peripherally involved in the Langham case DOES NOT negate my admission that Alabama ultimately cheated and rightfully got punished.
My comments about some Auburn fans is that they don't even acknowledge the major infractions case in basketball in the early 2000s (note the constant references to going 20 years with no NCAA run ins) and literally blaming most if not all of the other infractions cases on shadowy REC figures.

ok.
