War Eagle 777 • posts about someone who was kicked out of Alabama, not a coach hired by Auburn

CNN —

Former University of Alabama basketball player Darius Miles pleaded not guilty Monday to a capital murder charge in connection with a shooting in January, court records show.

A waiver of arraignment filed in the Circuit Court of Tuscaloosa County indicates an attorney for Miles entered the not guilty plea, almost three months after he was arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting that killed Jamea Jonae Harris, 23, near the University of Alabama campus in mid-January.

Prosecutors have accused Miles of aiding and abetting his co-defendant, who they say fired the shot that killed Harris, who police found in the early morning hours of January 15.
Jamea Jonae Harris, 23, was shot and killed early Sunday while visiting her cousin at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, her mother DeCarla Cotton told CNN. University of Alabama basketball player Darius Miles has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting.

University of Alabama basketball player provided gun for shooting, court document says

Witnesses said Miles gave the shooter the weapon, according to depositions from a Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigator, which also said Miles admitted to providing the shooter with the handgun immediately prior to the shooting.

In February, a judge ordered both Miles and his co-defendant, Michael Lynn Davis, held without bond.

Miles, who was removed from the basketball team after the university learned of the charge, was a junior at the university, according to an archived version of the men’s basketball team roster. He was in the midst of playing his third season as a forward for the Alabama Crimson Tide, the archived page shows.

The team’s star player, Brandon Miller – slated to be picked near the top of June’s NBA draft – was a “cooperative witness” and “not considered a suspect” in the case, according to the Alabama athletic department.

Notice that he was kicked off the team AFTER the murder. So he was a player not a former player at the time.

Truth is such an inconvenient thing

That’s how it works. You don’t kick players off a team for a murder they have’t committed.

Right and on the flip side Auburn hired Freeze to coach the team, knowing full well that he had hired hookers numerous times for himself or possibly for recruits, or both. Then they hire a DC knowing full well that his team refused to play for him because of a “toxic culture “ that included the death of a teammate

I'm going to ignore the fact that you posted an article from CNN.

I know who Darius Miles is.

Neither Miles nor Miller — regardless of enrollment status — shot or murdered anyone, you idiot.

Miller was deemed by authorities not to have committed a crime. Alabama removed Miles for association with a crime.

Auburn hired all three of the aforementioned, despite what they've clearly done in the past.

This guy has not been convicted yet so by your standard he should still be playing?

Can we stop with the Freeze likes hookers stuff? The hookers weren’t for him. They were a recruiting tool.

It adds up... Leo Lewis lied about of lot of things, and he said that he was not offered sex on his visits to OM.

Bama forced girls to sleep with recruits when Bear was there. Atleast Freeze bought women that wanted to do it.

You understand that as accessory (such as the person who hands the shooter the gun) is just as guilty as the shooter don't you. That is why Miles is charged and why Miller was investigated.

I suggest you rush down to the District Attorneys Office and inform them of your legal opinion. I am sure they could use your legal expertise.

Bama fans doing anything to try to bring other schools down with them since they know the end has come. Poor insecure Bammers LOL

No not true in the least bit. And I'll give you some more sobering news. Go back and look at Bama's history even in it's "darkest years". Chances are, even at its worst, Bama is better than the program you support. Mike Dubose won an SEC title and beat Steve Spurrier twice in one season. How about the team you support?

This. I don’t like Freeze, but only a complete moron would think the calls were for himself when he has dozens of recruits intown.

Do we know this for sure? How many of them were foreigners who had their passports confiscated by their pimps?

Firstly, the hookers that Freeze was traffic to recruits were simply his sloppy seconds...

Secondly, many of the AU fans in this thread should have their posts immediately downvoted because they are too stupid to be preserved on the internet without being marked with the stain of disapproval.

Third, Bama was looking to hire Durkin as a position coach... knowing that he wasn't good enough to be a DC. We decided to completely pass on him instead. So enjoy having UA's back-up OLB coach as your DC
