Arkansas had the highest winning percentage of all basketball programs from 78-95. Then Nolan went nuclear and the program struggled to recover from that firing.

Arkansas isn't a blue blood but Duke like Arkansas began to rise in the late 70s with Eddie Sutton and coach K. Both programs had struggled in the past. During the 90s, Arkansas wasn't far from that type of status. But the Nolan firing ruined any chance of that.
