There is already one vote to terminate Texas ... A&M. They need only 10 more votes.

We have one definite "no", Oklahoma. That means A&M only needs 10 of the remaining 13 schools to expel Texas.

Should be an interesting next few years.

First, they haven’t been invited yet. There would only need to be 4 “no” votes. Not saying it isn’t happening. Just saying you don’t need 10.

The big question is can the SEC force Texas (and their favorite stooge Oklahoma) to "play nice"? If they try some of the power plays they pulled in the Big 12 I cannot see the rest of the SEC tolerating that. Bama, in particular, would lose their proverbial poo if something like that happened.

Using your logic, A&M would be closer to being kicked out than Texas.

You've got a point.

But the current vote on Texas would be:

Yes 1
No. 2
Maybe 13

They are on a short leash.

I wasn't aware it only required 2/3 vote to terminate a member. Per the SEC Bylaws (Section 3.1) you are indeed correct. So in a 16 team league, 11 votes can terminate.

So got me wondering who the 11 schools that would vote to kick LSU out. For the record, I am not interested in seeing LSU's President vote to kick anyone out and I expect Him to vote Yes for OU and TX.
