The biggest problem is that we are going to hear about every media member, social media poster, and poster here constantly talk about their opinions on how scheduling should be for a year.

And OU/TX.

Technically that's a neutral site game too right? At the TX state fair?

Dallas is 3+ hours from Austin.

As I pointed out in another thread, there are tons of this style format with various perm team groupings.

HOW will this work?

Other conferences have played 9-game formats. Everyone lived. For some reason, to you, this is like creating nuclear fusion in a lab.

I hate to agree with the Texas guy but he is right. T'aint rocket surgery.

Get each team to play one of its permanent rivalry games at a neutral site every year.

Vols vs Kentucky in Nashville for the beer barrel? I’m ok with that

Two Divisions (Left and Right)
for scheduling purposes only

Left teams play one team from the left and two teams from the right as their permanent oponents. (3 games)

Left plays Left in odd years (6 games)
Left plays Right in even years (6 games)

Same schedule format for the right..

It works and it works pretty good if it is done right. I have posted examples previously if anyone wants to see an actual example.

The only question is figuring out the permanents using that format. It’s tricky, but it can be done.

Exactly. This isn't that complicated.

It's simple: 6 rotating SEC games (3H/3A) plus 3 yearly SEC rivalry games (alternating 2H/1A with 1H/2A). So, SEC teams need to schedule their OOC H/A games accordingly. For example, SC should play Clemson away when SC has 4 away SEC games and home when they have 4 SEC home games.

I'm pretty sure that's what the 4 with in-state ACC opponents are going to do.

Now, WILL the host site rotation need to be changed to accommodate this?

UGA/GT - Athens in even years
Fl./FSU - Gainesville in odd years
SC/Clemson - SC in odd years
Ky./Louisville - unsure (Ky. used to be odd years, but flipped in 2021)

IF UGA gets Fl. & SC, Dawgs would be 4H/5A in even years while Gators & Gamecocks 4H/5A in odd years.

This also poses the question of putting Aub. @ UGA 2 consecutive years to put DSOR back on the original rotation.

We have been very lucky to have avoided that horrible trip. No one wants to travel to the middle of Nowhere, Texas. We will be happy to beat A&M again but we would prefer to do it in Athens, not Coward Station
