Why automatically assume this? In 2017 Ohio State lost to unranked Iowa 55-24 and in 2018 Ohio State lost to unranked Purdue 49-20.

I'll take 1961 Ohio State (8-0) for $1000, Oklahomey!

And all of those teams played more than 5 regular season games.

Let's please not act like Ohio State wasn't going to beat Illinois, Michigan and Maryland. Those were OSU's three cancelled games, with two of them not even being their fault.

This year has been the weirdest year in CFB history but the two best teams are definitely playing for the national championship. Let the best team win.

In all likelihood, y'all beat them teams but that is not the issue. How many injuries or players being nicked up with extra games is the issue. Bama lost our best OL in the 11th game.

Honestly, with all of the mulligans you all have received (not winning your conference 2x yet playing for the Natty), you shouldn't be upset. Someone else getting the Bama treatment isn't really THAT bad now is it? They still won their conference.

Not mad, just stating the obvious that the issue of winning them games is not why some fans are upset. Also, Bama getting mulligans is not the same because we played 13 games.

Played less than teams who played in their conference championship.

When Michigan cancelled their game, it didn't seem like Ohio State made a serious effort, if any, to schedule a game with someone else. I'm not going to go back and look at which, if any, Big 10 teams would have been available that week, but it seems like there would have been at least one.

Again, NOT the same. We played 1 less game but still had a slight advantage because we were able to rest. OSU played 5 less games and that is a huge advantage. Imagine winning every game but losing a couple star players in the final game before the playoffs.

When healthy, OSU definitely deserves to be in the NC. What would y'all do if fields, olave, sermon or one of your lineman got hurt going into the playoffs?
