You’re basing “who is better” on where they will be drafted. I’m basing “who is better” on how they played in 2017. Auburn’s boys showed up and made 1st team ALL-SEC. Kerryon Johnson also won SEC OPOY. Derrius Guice was 2nd Team ALL-SEC and Arden Key quit on his team.

Ten years ago we thought Saban/Miles/Meyer would battle back and forth for rights to the SEC every year

Then one ran off, and the other started sucking.

Shame..could have been awesome to watch.

Okay you can choose not to base who is better off who is the higher draft pick while the rest of the world does. Arden Key was injured basically all season. But nah, he just quit. Guice had injuries for a majority of the season, I'm sure he just quit too. But if Auburn players are hurt it's just an injury and they can't help it Right?

Holland and Johnson are awesome. They just aren't as good as Arden "top 10 pick" Key and Derrius "first rounder" Guice. Same ole same ole for LSU. (Most players in the NFL out of any team in the country).

Also beat Auburn this year.

Really is a shame man. I can't believe Miles just couldn't hire a fricking OC and compete for titles. What blows my mind is that me, a 26 year old regular dude, could walk into the LSU football program and INSTANTLY make it better. Way better. Fire Alleva, Orgeron, demote Ensminger back to tight end coach, leave Aranda alone, find a young, intelligent, hungry HC, and hire Sterlin Gilbert or Kendal Briles as OC. With our talent we're winning 10 games and will make a run to the playoffs within a year or two.

But nah, let's make Special Ed Orgeron the head coach and let's make our old arse tight end coach our offensive coordinator. He should be really up to date on offenses these days. frick my life.

As a bonus, you conveniently ignore the fact that, prior to 2000, there was a time where you were lucky to win 8 games a year, period.
I'm not ignoring or pretending shite. I was there. Joe Dean didn't spend any money on practice facilities and he was allowed to hire 2 bad coaches. But he kept the Athletic Dept in the black. We've come a long way.

Because the last time y'all had division smack to talk after a Bama national championship, it worked out so well.

Oh, that's right. We won the division, the conference and repeated as national champions the next season.

LSU also continued their trend of finishing in 3rd place or lower in the western division for the 5th year in a row. Congrats!

We've come a long way.
Yet so many of you are willing to forget the journey, and how it started.

I don't take the fortune we're having now for granted because I refuse to forget where we were before it all started.

Well, y'all thought hiring Mike Price was a good idea at one point. Everything is cyclical.

Y'know, after six years, these hot takes are kind of chilly. Entropy being what it is and all.

Since then it has been hit after hit for the LSU program.

There is truth to this. LSU has given up on competing with Bama. Content to win 9-10 games. It’s sad but true.

they are still winning 9+ games a year

Insignificant since teams play 13-15 games a year.

Who cares if you win 9 if you lose 4, one of those to Troy

Cajunbama must not follow recruiting too much. 4 stars bust EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Even more so with qbs. You should follow recruiting more. It's fun.
