Wow!

I think Colt would have handled Bama no problem

Oh well, just put an asterisk next to another Bama title,.

BTW: did anyone notice that the BCS coverage kept saying Bama held 7 titles not 12?

LSU by 2 TD's next year in Baton Rouge...go ahead and save this quote if you wish

So, If you have a good enough rushing game to make up for it and just physically outlast the opponent who gives a frick?

let's see how you throw the ball with BROKEN RIBS vs Texas's defense.

The playing ground was level. Both first string QB's were basically put out of this game...

it's not our fault UT only had a couple of offensive weapons.

Colt started off strong sure! but i guarantee you he wouldn't have been able to sustain that sort of play...

ApexTiger, you can do -way- better than this. or maybe not, since it's obvious that this thread, made by you, sucks :)

defense wins championships. our defense injures people frequently... you as an LSU fan should know this.

oh, and the other germans topic you touched on. our national titles. we have 8 AP recognized... tied with NOTRE DAME for the most. :)

Colt didn't play defense, and their defense is what lost them the game. Their #1 ranked rush defense gave up 31 points and let two different Alabama RBs accumulate 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns each.

On the other hand, our defense gave up no more than 24 points all year long, and opposing QBs averaged less than 50% completion. What makes you think Colt McCoy would have been any different than Tim Tebow, Ryan Mallet, Jordan Jefferson, Jevan Snead, etc.?

The two most recent both have an asterisk beside them, so I'm not really sure why the OP is beating his chest.

so we're to assume that bama must count it as a loss because they moved the ball with the run instead of the pass?

+1. Baltimore did the same thing to New England today. Better team won, plain and simple.

Face it, you guys were not very balanced in the game...enough to win from cheap turnovers from a freshman QB, You were lucky colt went out. Were you not? Can you at least admit that?

don't give us this crap how you guys hurt people.. Come on, are you full of yourselves that much? Scott was hurt after a 30 yard gash up your great D! And JJ took hits to the head that were not called...

the second half, I was disappointed in Bama's offensive performance, which until the last 3 minutes was shut out of the game...scored twice on cheap and late turnovers...

our running game was second to NONE for a national title game... and our passing game was poor for two reasons... the Texas secondary WAS legit for sure, and our QB had BROKEN RIBS man... if you want to ignore that fact, that's fine. just don't start threads on a message board and pretend that you want a real and intelligent discussion.

Were we lucky he went out? Were we lucky when Jefferson went out? Or did we put both of them out? You can flip it either way you want, but the reality is that there was a game played between TWO TEAMS on Thursday. The better team won.
