I’ll advocate actively and actually fighting a real war on drugs.

The “war on drugs” has been proven to be a bloated waste of federal and state tax dollars with no real impact on drug abuse in the country, aside for inappropriate incarceration of poc at higher rates. We need tax dollars towards drug treatment and mental healthcare instead.

It literally adds no value to society outside a very limited scope in medical terms.

This is such an ill informed and ignorant statement. It’s proven to help with chronic pain management, nausea, cancer treatment, seizure disorder, anxiety, insomnia and is a much safer, non-addictive, alternative to various prescriptions or alcohol.

I’m disabled from 4 spine surgeries and a laundry list of associated diagnoses. The war on opioids has led to adverse impact on people who suffer from chronic pain. Medical marijuana is the only thing that helps my pain slightly, muscle spasms, migraines and anxiety that comes along with my conditions.

I don’t advocate driving while impaired, but someone driving high vs drunk isn’t in the same ballpark.

Pro tip, don’t carry any more weed than you plan to actually use in an evening out. Cops don’t give a shite about 2-3 grams and you can always eat it if necessary lol.

And I think this is what is ruining Colorado. How about we let the states decide and then people can live amongst those they prefer, rather than try and force federal laws on people who don't want them? Some people love weed, some people do not.

If you have a prescription for it, then fine. I think there are holistic solutions for the majority of people with these claims, but I will give you that there are people with special circumstances. Far less than claim them though.

Again... you cannot prescribe a schedule 1 narcotic. It is merely a doctor recommendation that the state certifies.

There are multiple types of cannabinoid receptors, littered throughout your body and found at almost every major organ... brain, lungs, liver, kidney, etc. I can't fathom how you view cannabis as not holistic, our bodies were designed for it. We either evolved into this or were created that way... take your pick. Both destroy your view.

Ruined how?

I will start with +‘s:

Less drunk idiots, better symptom mgmt, less unreasonable arrests, increase in tax revenue

You go with the negatives: _________

I expect a very short or irrational list.

Above and beyond this, people have been smoking pot for decades. Acting like legalizing it created “problems” is ludicrous.

Management of what systems? Glaucoma? What miracle cures has recreational pot really brought us?

less unreasonable arrests

You think legal pot has decreased arrests? Really? Good lord why?

quote:

increase in tax revenue

Colorado is running a 1,000,000,000 plus dollar deficit Legal pot didn’t help

So your positives are not really that great and not worth the issues of legal drugs.

And none of that is marijuana's fault. Imagine how fricked they'd be without that extra $1,123,720,576.2 recreational brought the state since 2014. Won't even try to tally money saved by this.

A major improvement over drunk ones.

You can’t be serious, but you are arse backwards with most of your thoughts.

People don’t get arrested for having weed on them. Duh.

Would be clearly worse without the extra tax money, so this is a major fail of a point.

Again, thankfully people who think like You are dying out.

Common sense if people are choosing weed over alcohol. I drank far less than normal on my recent trip to Colorado.

Your list is still zero long.

You started with the list which is shite. Nobody is quitting drinking because they legalized weed.

Oh there's a shocker. Colorado is the mecca for stoners now. It is ridiculous how many people have started vacationing there just due to the fact that recreational weed is legal.

Lol... you have 17 states to choose from. People go to Colorado because it's awesome. Getting high legally is just a bonus. Bad news, people are coming to Florida and smoking weed on vacation. Have been for decades.

This statement is like saying that 48 states have legalized gambling so it is not a main factor in tourism to Vegas. Do you want me to start trotting out all the statistics that show Colorado's tourism increase after legalization? There are plenty.

Yeah including me buddy.

First of all I don't live in Florida anymore, and if you weren't stoned you could probably read Dallas, TX in my signature. Second, I know people have been smoking weed for decades in Florida, I smoked plenty of it in college, that is not the argument. I prefer people not to do it in public. But what happens, especially to liberals, is if you give them an inch, they will take a mile. So rather than legalize it and not allow it for consumption in public, just keep it illegal so they will be a little less brazen with it.

Everyone knows they are still going to do it.

People mainly go to Colorado for outdoor activities like mountain biking and snow skiing. Reasonable weed laws are just an added perk.

And your list is still zero.
