How do you define "set the market"?

Maybe this will finally shut you up.

And that’s a good strategy.

The poor Auburn soul in this thread can't comprehend what the strategy actually means.

And he obviously can't comprehend the team chemistry issues when a school is setting the market on high schoolers.

Funny considering Vince graduated from AU and coached there. If he paid players - and I don’t believe for a minute he did - where do think he learned it?

coaches don't pay players........boosters do. Where do you think all of this NIL money is coming from?

Well, sure Auburn paid player. EVERYBODY pays players. That has been going on since before you were born. I watched Shug, bear, and Vince coach. It was going on before I was born.

That's why this "holier than thou" BS all of you UGA fans are spewing is so comical.

You let other schools "set the market".....then you offer more.

It’s true. We have 5 stars and high 4s sitting on our bench waiting their turn when they could be starting at other programs. It’s a privilege and honor to be considered good enough to play at UGA. You gotta be damn good to even make the scout team in Athens

This thread is embarrassing. It’s just OU and UGA melting that Mizzou “out paid” them. And then they list some baby àss offer of like 700k Lmao they deserved losing him.

AU pays players. OKAY! It’s nice of you to admit it. Better hope the NCAA doesn’t come knocking at AUs door AGAIN.

Georgias recruiting class is loaded. Not sure we had room for him if he had committed. Last I heard we had possibly hit our allotted number of recruits.

I’m sorry A&M has to buy players. As hard as is for you to believe players do come to the Georgias and Bamas “to win”. 8-4 in a good year doesnt cut it for them

"holier than thou..." I'm not spewing any thing holy at you Auburn fans. I can assure you my friend, what UGA is going to do to Auburn when we meet up for our annual prison-raping of the War-Tweety Birds this fall will be anything BUT holy.

I think there’s a bit of misunderstanding here. UGA pays players like everybody else, and prob top 3 overall maybe more. What has been poorly communicated here perhaps is how UGA pays. UGA by pure pragmatic necessity has to be a high base salary operation. We don’t give big bonuses. You can’t do that and keep a top three roster. It’s worth it to Kirby to not have the inter roster bickering, jealousy, etc.

If UGA wasn’t establishment we’d be doing it differently. It’s not a claim to holier than thou, it’s a practical reality to keep peace among an elite roster.

So you're saying Georgia "didn't have room" for the #1 recruit in the country?

Good luck getting that 7th win this season. It’s higher than McMillan can count!
