as evidenced by this board......riiiiiiight

As far as I'm concerned, that prediction on the post after OP..... it went like this.

quote:

You'll see them flooding this board on a fine April Wednesday morning about how they are not thinkin' bout LSU

looks like I had the only neutral observation that was correct and i can set my watch to the bama melt brigade chiming in.

it's right there for you to see.

LSU is not Alabama’s rival but over the past 14 years is their biggest/most important/yard stick game typically.

I can agree with this.

But but but that 5 point win was the end of our run.

OP is Missouri fan and that means a HUGE deficit in SEC football history. Sorry OP.
Until I read this I hadn't realized that since joining the SEC, Mizzou has been to Atlanta more than LSU.

Arky has won 6 games against LSU in the last 20 years and Arky has actually won the division multiple times putting them in the company of:

Alabama
LSU
Auburn

I agree.

Although I do find it odd that during the Iron Bowl last season, Bammers were creating topics about LSU 5:1 while they were playing Auburn.

6 of your last 11 threads are about LSU.

You literally start more threads about LSU than Bama

The numbers tell the tale here. LSU has been terrible for a decade with one season they will forever be swooning over. Mostly because it's all they've done in a decade.

For my money, the new kid in town is TAMU. If you want to know who needs BAMA's undivided attention this will be the rivalry for Atlanta for years to come in the west.

Based on what? Last year was aTm’s best season since 2012 and they lost an absolute shite ton of starters, especially along the line of scrimmage.

I agree.

It really makes all of the Bammer posting about constantly LSU seem quite insecure.

Has little to do with it.

TSIO is 14-0, since CNS' arrival. And, it isn't any less heated as a rivalry. In spite of all of Bama's historical success, they only had a 7 game lead in the series before Saban.

Honestly, I'm glad Pruitt isn't there. He didn't have the talent to win, but he absolutely tapped into the roots of that rivalry and had the UT D play hard in the TSIO.

It is UT and Auburn that really get Bama fans IRL fired up. And, that is in ALL sports and club teams. I greatly enjoy UTs demise, and never want anything good for them ever. I have less all encompassing dislike for AU (outside of their football program).

I like LSU, as do most Bama fans IRL not on this board. Les (like Bill Cosby before his dirty secrets came to light) was a lovable, national treasure. Coach O is just as endearing in his own way. Their color scheme, fan passion, culture, etc are all awesome. So, it's hard to truly "hate" them like a rival, and I can't recall ever not pulling for them when not playing Bama. That doesn't really fit the rivalry model for me

Bama/LSU is a "big game" and I'd definitely like things to be a little more competitive but I don't hate Bama and appreciate Saban for bringing LSU's program to where it is now.

It's just too bad we didnt get him after he'd scratched the NFL itch
