Not sure this precludes them from playing football in college, the same way that a physical assault wouldn't. Maybe teams have talked with the kids and are more comfortable with what was actually going on as there's always more to a story, but acting like it's totally nbd is a weird take.

Still the truth. Even my program. I don’t like thugs in college athletics but what can I do? This kid in the OP has been punished and nothing further so why keep prosecuting the kid? Hopefully he learns and he’s not a thug pos in a sec program.

Yeah, we only have decades of history of entitled athletes to pull from.
The only ones that learn lessons are ones who have to face any sort of real consequence.
