Yet you guys openly shite on Texas, LSU, and probably everyone but your butt buddy Alabama

My posts over the past year have been courteous regarding the LSU program.

SEC is suffering from the Saban tree. That model dominated CFB for over a decade and is dead at the hands of the portal. Slow developing offenses are dying, you need a blueprint where 11 guys can come in and do well in year one. It’s unfortunate but that is the reality. You don’t have to go all the way there, but if you’re relying on more than 6-8 months for guys to learn the ropes you’re probably dead. Alabama unintentionally got a year head start, isn’t going to get easier for Georgia and Texas unless they adapt.

The SEC has fed that tree, and it can’t carry the load now. Need forward thinking programs to step up and it’s yet to be seen who those will be. Ohio State is probably about to dominate for a few years.

Funny how a Texas A&M fan and a Missouri fan are the ones most offended at the notion that SEC being "good" or "respected" is meaningless.

2nd Consecutive Year No SEC In NC Game

Who cares? I used to tout conference pride when I was younger but as I've grown older I see no purpose. Another conference team in the spotlight does nothing but provide stiffer competition for YOUR team. There are obviously advantages to being in a rich conference with lots of good teams. But, ideally, every SEC team would start the season in the top 15 and none of them, outside of LSU, finish ranked. Not having a SEC team in the NC is meaningless (and preferable) from a "LSU first" perspective.

Watching an SEC school not named LSU winning a national title does nothing to help us.

It used to help us but because of nil it no longer does. Before nil players wanted to play in the SEC because it meant they got seen by the NFL and that was the best way to make money, now they can make that money playing anywhere.

Spot on correct. You offer an 18 year old who is a good but not 5* player $500,000 right now, and they are taking it. Regardless of what school it is.

Alabama finally declines a little and the rest of the SEC loses their mind

Um… who was holding up the conference from 2000-2010?

Hint: It wasn’t Bama.

2 decades ago. 2004-2005. Off top of my head. USC v Oklahoma in 04 and USC v Texas in 05.

2004 Auburn was undefeated and some people were clammoring for them to get a share of the title. I know that's not the same as playing in the BCS title game but that didn't stop 2004 USC from getting a piece of the pie the year prior.
