Collinsworth just compared Tua’s throw to Tyreek Hill to 2nd and 26.
Bama everywhere.
Bama everywhere.

Yes, it was an all-timer and as devastating as it gets. Waited 37 years for our shot. Then that thunderbolt.
Fortunately many good things have happened in the 5 years since. If not for that play, Kirbs would already have 3 before turning 47.

As funny as it sounds….my trigger warning wasn’t directed at UGA fans. Everyone else is Bama obsessed. Actual Champs don’t care….haha!

Never should have happened. Chip shot FG in regulation should have ended it.

How many chip shots have we missed in the last 10 years?

Of course it was. You aren't fooling anyone. That play was allowed to stand because of a ref error. I'd much rather talk about that fourth quarter of the 2021 natty where UGA slugged Big Bad Bama in the mouth. It really hurt. Y'all are still bitching about injuries like you were the only one playing without key players. Back to back baby

Tyler Simmons wasn’t off-sides, and Najee Harris flinched on the game-tying touchdown play.

In fairness we whipped you in Atlanta in 21…..so….ok? I guess lol

Sure…just like injuries beat Bama in the natty. It goes both ways…

That's true. But the refs missed a call that didn't help

Five were missed. Which one? The lining up offsides x2, the PI or the tackle by the left offensive lineman?

I think the early stages of the game before Jamo went out showed that the core problems UGA's defense had with Alabama's throw game had not been resolved but it was highly dependent on the players not the scheme. Alabama probably win that game by a couple scores but uglier than the SECCG with Jamo available all game. None of UGA's DBs could deal with his speed. Game changed when he went out. They didn't need to do as much clever stuff to take Jamo's deep threat away and could mostly just play straight up and blitz a lot more. Hell, the play he went out on UGA brought some pressure and their DB immediately got cooked.
Alabama's got no one but themselves to blame. The 2017 team beat UGA because the freshmen - after a season of preparation - showed up big for Alabama in the 2nd half. In 2017, it was less due to injury and more due to performance of the veterans. In 2021, Alabama needed a group of highly recruited receivers from the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes to step up but they didn't. That's why most of them are playing at 2nd rung FBS programs or not doing jack shite somewhere else now.
Alabama's injuries aren't Georgia's problem. I do think the game goes differently if Alabama had Metchie and/or Jamo in the national title. 2021 UGA's secondary was a big weak link. It is Alabama's fault that their entire season hinged on 3 guys.

Ahhhh!!! We are back to the injuries again. We've heard it. Bama wuz hurt! They wuz hurt bad Georgia was hurt too. Nolan Smith wasn't standing on the sidelines because he wanted to wave at the crowd. He was hurt and had been hurt a good part of the season. And he had several buddies standing with him. So man up and take your loss like an adult. Bama got punched in the mouth by Georgia. End of the story
